Smooth EQ
Possibly the most famous EQ ever made and for good reason- most EQ's are great at cutting but very few are great for boosting frequencies without imparting undesirable characteristics on to the sound. The exception is this and the Manley Massive Passive- this is not for surgical eq but it does the job of adjusting the frequency response without changing the sound....... if that makes sense, the Manley Massive Passive is just a surgical version of this plugin- you need both, trust me!

Legendary Reverb at your Fingertips
Wow I always rated UA as the kings of reverb and this again proves why- the minute you put this on a drum bus you will recognise the Lexicon sound. Again like the AMS RMX16 this has a character to its sound that you will love and will wrap around your audio instead of sounding like it was stuck to it. If you are investing in the UAD Platform get the reverbs first- that is where there best strengths lie, the Lexicon 224 is testament to that! Love it, well done UA

The API Sound Nailed
Easily the best channel strip I have heard and it is so easy to use- I love the API sound particularly the EQ. I owned the Waves API bundle for years and while they are close I think UA have nailed the API sound- it is hard to describe but it brings focus to the Mid Range- to me the mid range is where all the magic happens. This strip has everything you need to create a beautiful mix- if you r mix sounds bad it wont be the fault of this channel strip! This strip ois why I bought the UAD 2 Octo Satellite, incredible to get €1000 worth of plugins with the hardware! Now all we need is the API 2500- get on it UA and we can mix our next album on an API console. Demo it and you will love it

The Best Just Got Better
Love these new upgraded 1176 plugins- there is simply not better compressor for giving drums the smack we all love. Also work well on vocals- follow this with a Manley VariMu and you have some wonderful smooth levelling and tone. Well done UA

The best sounding EQ I own
The Pultec EQ's do much more that just filter frequencies. They add a pleasant color and warmth to all sounds. Plus in the top end it adds some nice air. Overall this is now my go-to and favorite EQ. Great on vocals, great on drum machines, great on everything.

Sweetness....
I love this eq! I could never own a real Pultec. But I love this easy to use eq. Like the people say, just put it in the mix and you have some magic! I have to say this is my 1st pick on a lot of recordings! I love this plugin!

This should be in your "To buy" list. Hands down...
I can't give this product a 5, because that would mean it's perfect. But it's damn near perfect in my opinion. I've used the grey and silver face hardware versions for tracking and mixing. In fact I NEVER track vocals or bass without this in the signal chain in the hardware world. But this product is so damn solid that I am tracking with it in the digital realm too! As far as delivering in mixing it is amazing and hauntingly accurate to the real thing. Due the the nature of the digital world, tracking through it didn't come as close to what the real thing does. But reviews shouldn't tell you what to do, try the demo it will sell itself.

Incredible!!
The LA-2 is known for it's ability to compress a vocal without it sounding smashed. I placed the LA-2 on the master bus and WOW!!! The vocal that was once dull and flat sounding became monsterous, 3D and in your face without it sounding smashed. I highly recommend this plugin.

A smooth, strong but subtle reverb
I had other plugs for reverb, but this authentic sound from lexicon made the final mix! WOW! Its subtle but still very much usable, it sits there but does not spoil my mix, a real useful reverb!! I am really happy with it!

Morbidezza

Most versatile software compressors
The 1176 collection is all you need to get started achieving that punchy, colorful, analog sound in your mixes!
I find that all my busses, Vox, Drums, etc end up with an 1176 on them. That's just a testament to their versatility, reliability, and they just sound really good.
Truly one of UA's best emulations.

Sounds fantastic
These 1176 plugs sound great. The AE version is sweet for vocal treatment. These will get frequently used in my mixes.

Amazing "Go To" Collection
This collection seems to find a place in every project. The hardware variations included in this bundle cover a broad range of instruments and uses. Well done UA.

Love it
I use this thing mostly as a sweetener, a little boost in the highs and lows on the EQP-1A and suddenly your sound goes from dull to gorgeous. This is a must have plug in for me now.

A Must for Vocals; Very Useful for Other Things as Well
The performance of this compressor for vocals alone is worth the price of admission. It is so transparent and effective. Now I can't imagine a vocal FX chain that doesn't include an LA-2A. It's performance on other sources is also very impressive. It is fast and transparent. I imagine it can be pushed hard to have a deliberate lack of transparency but I haven't experimented with that yet.

1176 is just awesome
I don't have a hardware unit to compare so I can't comment on its' accuracy but on the other hand I don't really care about that. I only care if it is useful and sounds good and it does. So far I've used it on bass and snare and it adds fatness. It can also be driven to get a warm distortion. Definitely one of the best software compressors I own.
