Sometimes less is more
This channelstrip brings the smack I like. Even if you crank up the compression, it's still nice an silky.
Even using "creative gain" (in other words: distortion) is nice, not harsh.
But what I like the best: fixed EQ switches/pots - go back and work with what you have, not use every single knob that's been found on the FX! Easier to use, more concentrated on the sound.
The channestrip ads some character, not to much, not to little.
I use it on most mixes (sometime SSL has the edge on API if it comes so clarity/non-character) and I won't do without it!
Absolutely a "non-regret".

A must have
I have never used the original piece of hardware that inspired this plugin, but it is easy to fall for it anyway. It is way more than a just a delay, it just adds so much to the mix. On long delay settings it starts to shimmer and creates a beautiful sense of space. It is a little tricky to work with stereo files, but it is worth the effort. The interface renders beautifully on retina displays.

Love the low end character on this one.
This unit is actually strapped to every input on my Apollo has I track into it. It's being used in both recording and for vocals for my radio show on shake108.com. It just gives the source that extra push that's needed to sound awesomer lol. Worth the purchase.

I have both Studer 800 and Ampex ATR 102, but Oxide give some special touch on each inserted chanel very simple for manipulate with great tape simulation result.Thank you Uad for such a great release.

Great addition to my collection. Help adjust just about every track give it the right sound. I mix all eight of my drum tracks with this plugin then finish it off with the Neve 88RS console!!!

Exactly What I Needed.
Oxide is a cost-effective way to get a nice tape vibe on multiple channels while saving DSP power. Great for people like me with only one UAD chip.

Excellent plugin indeed! An ultimate reverb/FX plug for the use with guitar. I didn´t expect it to be that nice. Super smooth, rich, lush guitar verb/FX which btw works fabulously well with the Marshall JMP 2203 and the MXR Flanger/Doubler. Those 3 guys offer the most natural, beautiful guitar sound I have ever heard from plugins. Great work. Thanks!
P.S. I´m sure this one works with other sources than guitar as well! This is a really good plugin.

A great tool!
I just bought this plug-in about a week ago. Now, one week later, I cannot really remember how I lived without this unbelievable plug-in before. I literally use it on every signal that needs some extra warmth and subtile or exaggerated overdrive/tape saturation harmonics. It sounds great on kick drums, bass guitar as well as acoustic guitars and vocals. I get the feeling that my records really benefit from that "antique" analog sound.

UAD-2 ARE THE BEST!
When mixing, i only use UAD Plugins... Period... Other brands are great and have there place in my setup, But for me, i mainly mix with UAD-2...

Easy to use
Needed something easy to use that warms up the sound a bit without beeing too much. It does exacly that.
Don't feel I need a ton of settings at this point.
