Character with compression as a bonus!
I reach for this on the 2-bus for the textural warmth and image enhancement it brings in droves, whether I particularly need compression or not. It's like compression is a bonus. Of course it helps that it's also a great compressor, but that's almost not its primary feature for me!

studio basic
This collection of classic devices should be the basic for every studio. Easy to use, great sound, sounds exactly like the hardware unit.

Legendary 224
The best thing about this plugin, and the hardware, is you can create a really big, open space, and keep the reverb from being in-your-face. This reverb, unlike a lot of others I've tried, decays in a very pleasing way. Notice I didn't say natural, but that's okay. What we're going for is great sound, and this has it in spades. It works on anything and everything.

Pultec EQ - cool analog feel!
Hey, I love that stuff! The Pultec EQs really got that "Mojo"! One little thing: the HLF-3C cutoff filter should definitely have something in between 250 and 500Hz. For my taste I would at least need a 375 position, or better Infinitely variable!

SO GREAT FOR SO LONG!
After more than 40 years as a session singer, UAD is still the go to gear. I love and appreciate the expanse covered even more, now that I'm producing everything from drums to strings and vox!

Pultec Legend By UAD
I Owned and Loved the Pultec and then UAD Released The Collection...No Brainer,More Of Variants is too Tempting to Pass Up..More Flexibility to Be More accurate on the Exact tone you are trying to Dial In...Note If UAD picked it up it is a Serious Plug In...

Covers the Richness of the LA2A world
Not all LA2A's were created equal. This plug really goes deep in capturing the nuances of each era of this legendary box. It only has 2 knobs, but the richness you can get seems infinite. I'm obviously a fan of the hardware-- but was only able to use it in studios for a short time and only gradually became aware of the different versions.
Having some experience with the real thing really enhances what you can do with the plug, but I'm sure newbies will be happy, too.

Great plug-in
As close to the real thing as you can get inside the box.

Love it..
Love it on vocals for squashing and on the master bus for the analog flavor..

sounds like my chorus ensemble pedal
What a useful plug in! This sounds just like my old Roland chorus ensemble pedal. Perhaps better! This plug in has become a "go-to" effect. Thanks, UA!

Self explanatory
Top notch plugin. Inserting this into my mix, instantly gave me the sound I've been looking to achieve. The presets give you a great head start.
Thanks UA

Beautiful, Wide and Lush Chorus
The Dimension D adds a beautiful and lush chorus to pretty much any source material. The processor is great for subtly widening and thickening lead vocal tracks or to add a rich and wide layer to background vocals. The similarities to the Roland Dimension D are obvious, not just visually but also sonically. No matter under what name and brand this processor is listed it remains a super useful tool in a mixer's arsenal.
