Less is more
There aren't many control so you can't go any deeper but you will realize that the sound after Oxide Tape is just in it's right place.

Blown away... what competition?
Let me tell you. I’ve used all kinda of 1176 plugins. Slate, IK Multimedia, Waves, the list goes on. NONE of them sound as good as the UAD 1176. I imagine a huge proponent of that is because UAD made, and still makes, the original. The compressor goes on everything. Wether I need light compression, distortion, or even using it for gainstaging. Hands down my favorite compressor plugin. Period.

I have tried the ce-1 and the ce-2 is a mainstay on my pedalboard, this sounds very similar with a subtle distorsion that I adore.

really great at extreme settings
I found that i loved this best when i pushed its knobs to extreme settings so i can get smooth but unusual sounds..... even better when you eq the source more an the way into it as well as out of it.

big - warm - fat - driven
Im blown away at how much bigger my tracks sound with this across them..... even the factory preset is magic! the amount of that "Tape bottom" that punches you in the gut can't be had any other way I've tried other than this Oxide..... its a unique one and performs magic!

Blind bought it, and have ZERO regrets...
This plugin was Blind-bought only because I had extra money to be able to spend. Withought even watching the demo or anything I bought it based on the testimonials here. I LOVE this thing. It's brought out a whole other level of sound dimentsion.GREAT product. Keep em coming along:)

Excellent for drums!
This is one of my go to plugins when it comes to mixing and use it almost exclusively on my drum tracks.
The combination on an API 3124 during tracking and the API Vision during mixing, the drums sound huge!

Worked great for re- creating that Vintage 60's Big Band Sound
I do a lot large ensemble recordings. A client recently wanted me to re-create that vintage Sinatra/Nate Cole/Ray Charles big band sound. The LA2A silver is my go to for Big Band Brass , but for strings I needed something not as aggressive. The LA2 worked perfectly on strings and soft percussion. Both the LA2A Silver and LA2 allow things to sot perfectly in the mix. You won't be disappointed with this bundle, It was well worth the money.

The real deal!
The legacy UAD Pultec and Pultec Pro plugins had been my favorite Pultec plugins for the last few years already, now I finally added the whole collection and I am very impressed how much nicer these sound, indeed, also finally I have got the whole EQ bandwidth available, thanks UNIVERSAL AUDIO!

Again, compared to the legacy version I used, this collection is a massive improvement for even more versatility in using that classic compressor... Now I can choose from a vast selection of this iconic gear, unthinkable of when there was just the hardware...

I was using the legacy versions for quite a while and was very happy with the results I achieved. However, when I finally purchased this collection I was amazed by the instantly audible further sonic improvement. The different models really have individual nuances which give me more tools to scope the desired sound, they are easy to set up and I also like the factory presets...
