Great device but needs some tweeks
I’ve had several (now obsolete) hardware interfaces and needed a current device. Not being a “professional” I didn’t want to spend top dollar. The Volr 2 seemed to be a good fit. It works as expected with great audio quality. The vintage mic filter gives an added (bonus) dimension to my vocal inputs.
I like that it is powered, but why on earth they supply a USB power cable makes no sense. Why not include a data cable?!
The construction is solid but the controls are a bit small and difficult to use. Also the meters are partially hidden by the cover when setting flat on the desk. The 276 has the control surface on the top and this configuration would greatly improve the Volt 2 usability.
All said and done I am very pleased with the value Volt 2 provides my setup.

Quality plugins but not really that essential
Volt is a great product and the Essentials bundle was an extra I got when I purchased the hardware. As much as I like the plugins, I must admit there’s a lot of the obvious ones in there. Nobody needs three of the same teletronix unit in an essential bundle. It would come in more convenient is there was a bit more variation to get to know the wide variety of UAD’s scala: classic “vintage” sounds vs clean digital tools.

Incredible plugins
I'm new to UA plugins, but I've been blown away by their instant ability to sit in the mix so confidently. Especially when just adding small doses of plate or echo.
The tape saturation is pretty special on a buss, and even across the master with a Pultec. I haven't even dug into the channel or LAs yet.
So glad they put Essentials bundle on offer as I've been meaning to take a punt for years. They probably have a new permanent customer

Not compatible
Apparently you need to be on one of the latest Mac OS versions to run it, and there are no other downloads available. Bit of a shame for a software company.

Shape the height parameter with warmer and pleasent sweet sound
It is the best tool to control height parameter of 3 Dimensional Sound. Its even harmonics addition sounds pleasent and sweet where as the Vacuum Tube used adds warmth to the sound

This is the golden age of recording. I've used UAD plugs for 13 years now and a deal like this would have been a godsend. For all of you reading this review this is the opportunity for the budget minded recording musicians to up their game immensely. Don't let it pass you by.

Galaxy Tape Echo -- Next level goodness!
This is a wonderful device emulation. This thing adds real bounce to drum tracks as well as dreamy delay to vocals. The spring reverb adds a good sheen as well as introducing its signature reverb characteristic. It is a versatile, utilitarian plugin. Good on the track or on the group bus. Try it on synths as well. There are also 3 different tape heads to pick from! Well done.

I am using all Waves bundle.. I am using PA mega.. I have tried other manufacturers plugins as well.. But this is it! It's exactly that final touch I was lookin for. Quality par excellence. And thanks GOD and UAD for the Spark and that it can run natively without the hardware (which I am now lookin forward to buy, near zero latency while mixin is what everyone should aim- as with hardware). Thanks again, I hope youll continue in this way.
I hope you could keep the pricing of perpetual license on the same level like it was during Christmas, or that every christmas I would be able to renew the license for the same price.
People here hatin on support and how bad it is because they couldnt run it.. Me, I use I7- 860, its an older processor, but fortunately, I have no problems with anything. Yet it is true that I wrote mail with two questions on artists@... and no one replied.. But the questions wasnt critical, it was just an informational about other products, so does not make me mad like those who are tryin to resolve malfunction.. Hope you with the troubles will one day come over it a will have the opportunity to try and use UAD.. There are no better than this. Trust me.
