UAD-2 PCIe DSP Accelerator Cards

My UAD-2 Quad is absolutely fantastic! It allows me to include more musicality when I'm producing new material, and a gives me super solid engineering palette to work with.

Tons of great music have been recorded and mixed with all of these fine Channel Strips, Eq's, Compressor/Limiters and effects. Now I can be more creative with a mixture of these tried true and tested gear combined, with my own new school tricks for great results. From the warmth and depth of the UA, Neve and Manley emulations to the strong and punchy attitude of the SSL emulations, I'm always excited to be able to do exactly what I need to get done.

When the time comes to translate my clients, and my own productions and pre mixes into the final masterpiece, I do so with extreme confidence and certainty that 'Im getting exactly what I want and more from these great emulations and original pieces.

Whenever I get an email from Universal Audio, it's like Christmas because I know some goodies are on the way!

Can't wait to get my hands on the Harrison Eq, Fatso Comp., Studer A800, Roland Dimension D, Roland RE-201 and the Moog Filter plug-ins!

I Love my UAD-2, it's the best. Five stars all the way!

PS. UA does it best so can you pleeeeasse bring some "New product" plug ins, whether they are of existing equipment on the market or new and exciting UA stuff? Thanks!!

The are really good tools.

There's nothing like a rack full of these original hardware, but when we can have all these emulations giving us the caracter of all these classics, without the need for maintenance, and with the possibility to recall your settings at any time, it's wonderful.

If you can't access a million dollar studio, get these for a fraction of the price.

Very well worth it.

I am very happy with my UAD 2, never crack, the Plugs are very realistic. This product is really excellent!

Love the cards. By far the best emulations I have heard on the market...
My main wishes are for better Pro Tools integration (full RTAS compatibility) and a way to chain the plugins and reduce latency for multiple plugins on a single tracks (so audio only makes the trip to the cards once per track rather than once per plugin)

As an engineer with many years of analog recording and mixing experience, I have to say that UAD plugins have gone a long way to helping achieve satisfaction from recording and mixing digitally.
Emulations of hardware I am experienced with using have proved to sound familiar and behave as expected when added to a signal path. In this respect I can mention the 1176, LA2A, Neve 1081 and EMT140 amongst others.
Other emulations of hardware that I have not been fortunate enough to use in the analog domain have also proved extremely satisfying and useful. A few would be the Neve 33609 which I am very fond of as a buss comp, the Helios EQ and the Fatso plugins.
As a recordist I try as much as possible to print sounds that are close to what I envision as the final result. When I mix I find a little processing goes a long way. UAD plugins are versatile and I have found that I can get a lot of benefit from subtle use. They affect the sound in a positive way when used very gently, yet can be pushed to extremes if necessary.
My only real complaint is the cost of the newly released plugins, which seems to be ever-rising. This is the only reason I do not own more emulations than I do presently. On the other hand, UA has frequent promotions and sales, they just don't always coincide with my ability to take advantage!
I have no hesitation in recommending UAD for anyone looking for top quality ITB processing. They never let me down.

A Dream come true for me, I always wanted UAd hardware versions but with the economy its tuff. The Solo Card is Super stable and easy to install. Excellent processing power for bedroom studios. The UAD control panel is awesome! looking to purchase my second Solo card for my studio! Thanks UAD

I am very happy with production UAD. I use plug-ins in the projects much. I am very glad that in difference from other companies (for example SSL Duende, TC PowerCore I too have them) continues release of plug-ins on DSP. It is Always pleasant to know that you have very qualitative and protected plug-ins. Plug-ins UAD very much differ from other manufacturers especially emulation plug-ins.
I work on Samplitude 11. Soon will appear 12 version with support 64 bit (I use Win7 / 64) It would be desirable, that UAD has updated plug-ins for 64 bits.
It would be desirable, that some plug-ins have changed the kind (they inconveniently small) for example LA-3A, DBX160...
UAD from other firms differs qualitative technical support.

I have 4 uad-cards. And I wish that I could have 4 more. I love that just by add a uad plug-in on a track. That track is going to sound better, even that you have done anything.

My Quad is great! One of the most important pieces of kit in the studio.
Even though it is completely digital at its heart it adds the most organic and emotional
input to all my mixes.

Pricing for the plugins used to be more compelling and I've slowed down a lot on buying new ones due to price but I can't fault them for quality..

Thanks for a great product but if the prices could top out at $250 then I'd be buying may more of them.
