Ocean Way Studio is worth buying.
Ocean Way Studio is an extravagant and worth buying emulator for vocal and instruments. I used several instruments per song I make and I always find difficulties to make all the instruments to be heard and well balanced mix.But when I used Ocean Way Studio, every instruments are placed exactly the way it should sound in my mix. I do own popular brands of plugin effects, but I think plugins which I purchased from Universal Audio are the most reliable and outstanding plugins I've ever had. They are worth buying, it never tax my CPU and I have these kind of satisfaction that I really did an investment wise purchased of UA plugins regarding with the result of my mix and master.

watch it,it can drain you dsp
I love it,I love the way instruments and vocals sound with it,and i know i need more time working with it because it might seem simple, but it is not a simple reverb at all....the big downfall is that you need almost a full UA satellite quad dedicated to it,it drains dsp....

Remarkable, one-of-a-kind
I just started using Ocean Way to bring life to DI bass tracks, sampled drums and pianos, etc., and have been more than pleased. This is an effect that would take me hours to dial in with an ordinary reverb, if it could be done at all. Instant realism. I almost gave it 4 stars because I wish I had a bit more control over mic placement, but I assume that would take some real rocket-science style math, and might not really change the plug's capability anyway. A great plug-in.

Quality effect!
I love this plugin's reverb mode, it can give a real ambience or a huge powerful spacious sound to a drum kit. I haven't had much chance to play with the re-mic mode yet, but I will definitely be exploring it as much as possible.
Demo it, play with it a lot, try the rooms, mics, distances and see what it can do. There's so much to get through in just 1 plugin.

Ocean Way Brought Me Back
I haven't bought a UAD plugin since before the UAD-2 existed but this plugin convinced me to upgrade to the UAD-2 and try it out. I don't regret spending the money because I know the value of an acoustic space and a good room. Sample Modeling have excellent brass solo and ensemble instruments and this helps put them in a studio with other orchestra libraries I have and helps blend them beyond belief. If you haven't tried this plugin yet especially for orchestral instruments, I highly recommend trying it out for the purpose of blending libraries together. So worth the money and IMO priceless

Ocean Way Reverb
It's the best sounding reverb plugin out there.
Well crafted and easy to use.

I really do like the ocean way plugin. Turns your digital stuff into a fat analog sounding world.

Ocean Way/perfect room replacer
I have the Ocean Way Rooms for three weeks now and I´m goin to love it. It`s a perfect tool for replacing, as example drums, if u don`t like your drum room mics, take your close mics and build your own room, great.
But sometimes if you don`t have a perfekt equalized signal it`s not so easy to find a good sound, I think room A is a bit muffly and then I´m getting problems in the midrange of the mix. But you can fix that easy with a eq or maybe you guys don`t have that kind of problem, but I like to control the room frequencies with a Multiband behind the ocean way, it becomes more dynamic.
At least I have to experiment much more with this tool, it`s a must have Room plugin.
Have fun

Feels like you are there, moving the mics around in the room
Used re-mic mode with a 414 - close your eyes with headphones on and you are there in the room, moving the mics around. You can hear the surface of the walls and the cab at the end of the room. I've heard good convolution etc. reverbs which create ambience etc. before but never felt I was there in the room moving the mics around. Fancy a C12, omni maybe? Just click the switch.
The way the phases change and interact and really give a true three dimension to the sound.
One thing, using re-mic mode, on the presets the close mic is often a metre or two away from source, so they can seem very wet. I think this may confuse people at first. Just pull that first mic close and it springs into life :)

Space without having space
In a home project studio acoustics is always a fight. This plugin, when used on a very dry signal, gives the illusion of having been recorded in a fine acoustic space. It's a wonderful choice to have available in your DAW.

Nice space!
Overall I liked it and used it with some success in certain situations. For sure better than the DreamVerb, but please UAD, take it to the next level and give us a convolution reverb that will be #1 on this planet... thanks!

Exciting to an extent.
A beast on drums. Doesn't work on everything though. Use it sparsely. Takes up a lot of DSP and space in a mix.

Very Impressive
I demo'd this plugin and wasn't so impressed at first. Then bought a new apollo and was able to demo it again. For whatever reason I was shocked at how well it "glued" my drum tracks together. It does it so well it's the only thing I've used it on. I love the control over the mic placement. It's very easy to fine tune your room to your liking. Two thumbs up

Great on virtual instruments!
This reverb sounds amazing with the re-mic setting on virtual strings and pianos, I haven't had the chance to use it as a faux room tone for drums, but I have a hunch it will be great, particularly for virtual drums or drums recorded in a not so great room. It hasn't worked for me so great on vocals and real instruments yet, not bad but not what I was looking for, perhaps in the future after I purchase it I'll spend more time experimenting different alternatives! Looking forward to hear how it sounds great with cabs too!

Small Live Room? No problem
If you are like me, chances are your live room for tracking is not as big as you would want it to. You have to learn how to use it adequately but when you do, you will never have the small live room problem again. It is great to add a "REAL" depth to your sound, I love to use it in re amp mode inserted on my room mic track. I can easily tweak the distance to get the desire space I want. FANTASTIC, this thing on drum room is a beast!

Superb ambience plugin
Hi, it´s been about a month since I´m using Ocean, and I have two main things to comment.
As a reverb I´ve used in some tracks, and feel it´s very good, but could not tell the difference with other superb reverbs, I just think it sounds great and does its job, but using a significant DSP power.
BUT the main thing I´m using Ocean with, and I would really recommend, is as an ambience generator in the master. Anything you put inside the rooms, playing a bit with mic combinations (I really like the far distant ones) carries your song, or whatever you play; instantly into a live performance. Just add claps and you feel you are into a great sound medium sized room live performance. I feel it´s superb with classic and jazz music.

No more Dry Season
This plugin will add color and tone to whatever you put it on. With so many variations and presets to choose from, you'll have the ability to make something sound like it's "Straight Outta Heaven." You can't get a fresh natural room sound effect unless you have this plugin.
Shout out to Universal Audio for making superb plugins.
