Self-explanatory and necessary ITB
Annoyingly close to using the hardware, just cheaper and more mobile. For true upfront hip hop vocals my route is: Neve preamp as first step then into the Avalon VT-737sp compressor, and - more often than not - a last trip via the Neve preamp or LA-2A. It sounds amazing and does not abuse DSP.

Neve 88 RS As close to the real desk as I'll ever get, or need to.
This plugin nails the intended purpose. Squeeky clean warmth, weight and punch. The single most important addition to my plugin path in months.

Cleanest Sound Ever!
A clean channel strip is necessary and I'll explain why. Lets say you have a signal that you love and adore however you don't want to add any extra noise to the signal and the main focus is to attack a specific frequency without having to pay the price of affecting a different frequency in the signal you are working with, this channel strip would be your best friend. Do not postpone and make the purchase ASAP!

Very useable and wonderful sound
Having used the Neve 1073 plugin from UA, I was not sure what this could bring to my work, but I was pleasantly surprised. It has that great Neve sound, but with extra shaping options that just make this a go to EQ. The only real complaint I have with the 1081 is the plugin size seems smaller than it needed to be, making the numbers on the dials difficult to read. That issue aside, UA has produced another great plugin.

Amazing neve 1073
This product eats a lot of dsp, but it is worth it. When you hang it on a preamp, it makes an amazing sound change. Thank you uad!!

Sounds good if you like this kind of sound.
Not so nice is the hig load, a single DSP is quite blocked.
Still not absoultely perfect copy, the hardware does more kind of compression on not distorted sound levels.
Over all very capable.

Tested it against a real neve. Can't really hear much difference. Damn... :) The only negative point I might have is that I like tubes better. You know: rubber soul sounds better then abbey road to my ears...
