My go to pre for tracking and mixing since I got it...
Was a pretty big fan of the UA 1073 and now I've been using UA 1084 nonstop. It is a better mousetrap - adding reimagined frequencies, narrow/wide ‘Q’ control, making some bands semi-parametric, allowing for subtle ‘air’ and for surgically notching out offending frequencies, getting rid of ribbon hiss etc... I've found it's adding warmth and depth to vocals, guitars, and acoustic instruments of all kinds. Go to pre/eq for tracking and mixing - instant success with acoustic and electric guitars and bass so far. Highly recommended and hard to beat the price for Neve owners.

I have the Manley voxbox plugin, but I like not to use just one preamp at all the traks, so I could pick this Neve blindfold, no mistake.

Perfect
I had a nice Experience with NEVE mixer in the '90s. This plug is magic, it's a bit expensive but magic. I'm using on acoustic guitars and voices and it change the take at all.

Useful Great Sound!
I was gonna go for the 1073 but did the trial on this and can't live without the magic it produces! This thing is so easy to use and my acoustic tracks come alive. Tough to explain until it's not on your track and you hear the magic it creates. So easy to use as well.
It's on a lot of my tracks now, money well spent!
