The preamp combined with the Rode K2 microphone works as hardware and I would love to recommend it to anyone.

Neve® 1084™ Preamp & EQ
it's a Neve sound, of course! the only thing i wish they could improve on the "LOOK" of it, at least when you move the fader, there should be somewhere that indicate the "exact" value that you are at. You see, we want that old analog sound, we want that "classic feel" but we wouldn't mind the ease of control and preciseness of parameter in modern world. This has been an issue for many UAD plugins, lack of modern indicator and ease of control. In modern music production, precision and ease of control is important as everything need to sound tight and punchy these day, while keeping that warm sound. They are not in conflict.

I can't escape from it!
Since purchasing the 1084, I have put it in most of my work. I'll listen to an older recording through my apollo virtuals, pop a 1084 on, and new, improved life will be found. Even when I listen to records, my system loves it!

Neve preamp review
I thought this would be a very specific plugin to use while recording with unison tecnology, however I found out that's just the tip of the iceberg.. I am using it on almost everything from recording to mixing and as an effect as well. Preamp is awsome on drum bus, snare, kick, toms, hi hat, bass, clean and heavy guitars as well as vocals and other lead instruments like mini moog and what not. Its also an awsome sounding fuzz for your guitar if you plug straight into it and crank it up. Never thought I would be using it THAT much. 10/10!

Incredible on the master
use this on all my sessions now as part of my master chain. Just like the 1073 but with a different color and the presents are outstanding

Neve 31102 sounds awesome
When I first tested the Neve 31102 I was surprised by how bright it sounded. After working with the EQ controls I was able to hear how great this plugin sounds on the low end. I tested the Neve 31102 on the Snare Top and put a 1073 on the snare bottom and blended together in the mix. They compliment each other very well. I love the tone on distorted guitars after putting them through a UAD 1176. Sounds amazing and I definitely recommend the Neve 31102.

Neve® 1084™ Preamp & EQ
I have an original hardware 1084 and they have nailed the sound. There are some very little differences but is quite similar. Very nice sound quality.

Beautiful
This is a gorgeous sounding preamp. I recorded a song where I used 1084 on every instrument on the way in, and it works on everything. The EQ is super smooth. Great purchase.

I already own the preamps but it something about Channel strip that make you feel a connection to the console. I worked on one in school and it takes me back, and inspire the creative juices flowing.

Best anagalog eq ever
This underrated eq is simply the best emulation of an analog EQ in the Universal Audio package. It works great on every instrument and has great flexibility

Never been happier with my own Neve 1073
I always wanted to own this plugin, Im very happy with its performance, I have just one glitch, the dip shows maximum even if iv loaded it on 3 tracks... I have an iMac 3.8KHz
