Neve 88RS
Have worked on many Neve desks before computers .... and recently completed a new CD on a Neve 88R at OCL Studios in Calgary AB. Purchased the 88RS Channel Strip Collection, and was surprised at how great it was to use and how real it sounded. Thanks! I will be buying more Neve Plugins for my own Studio. Using this with Apollo Twin which i will upgrade now that i see how great it works. Vernon Wills.

Awesome! I use this for almost everything (kick, snare, vocal, guitars etc). But be careful this sw requires lots of processor capacity (so in live sessions consider to replace it with the se version)

The definitive channel EQ
The Neve 1081 is a plugin that has a place on every channel; virtually any sound can benefit from it. It's good on just about everything, The high and low pass filters are best in class and very musical. If you are into clean and well defined mixes, this is the way to go. The 1081SE sounds quite the same than the 1081, but is way cheaper on DSP, which makes it great for larger projects that do not require that extra lushness on every channel.

Of the plug-ins I've owned and tried, UA's Neve 88RS is my favourite. With a turn of the pre-amp on my unison inputs, it gets me closer to that sound I hear in my head than anything else has. Then I hit "eq in" to add exactly what I'm after. It's always focused, articulate and deep.

Shines with unison
First of all, I really like how unison interact with the preamp. This is a very warm and detailed emulation. Pair it with a good compresor on insert and you have the best channel strip ever!

Don't Let this be the "EQ that got away"
I recently got into the UAD world after years of using hardware and the "other guys" plug ins. I bought the 3 plug in package and agonized over the tube tech eq... I eventually chose the Neve 88rs, Fairchild collection, and the Ampex ATR but I had my eye on the tube tech (and still do) but then... The Neve products went on sale... so I demo'ed this 1081 and BOOM! its has so much character its slick and smooth if you need it to be on the master buss or aggressive and punchy if you want to slap it on a kick drum, try it, dial it in on snare and see what happens. Got of vocal track that needs something? It needs a 1081. I Super vibe like the tube tech just a different order of harmonics. I love this thing.(and I'm still buying that tube tech)

The game changer
This thing is litteraly a game changer. I use to add several plugins to get a warm and thick sound. Now I almost evything piece of gear I need all in one modelized box, and it just sounds incredible. Heads up for the "MIC" section, and its sweet distorsion when adding gain.

Saturation is out of this world
Even something as simple as switching to Mic level with this plugin to get that console saturation sound does wonders to class up any recording. Highly recommend.
