Great plug in
I have checked out the demo on all the unison preamps, and this is my favorite!!

Best yet for me.
Watching an interview with Rupert Neve, he said lately a dsp emulation had been produced that he could not tell from the real thing!! Could it be this he was talking about? I only have software to mix with, and this is definitely one of the best. the preamp distortion sounds amazing, the eq has real air and character- almost sort of sepia!??. The compression is well balanced, probably would not replace an 1176, I'm still getting to know it though, and I still have to find out how the program dependant thing goes in auto release mode. A plug in with depth, and some great sounds up its sleeve. Great stuff!!!

Fantastic Neve 1073 Preamp emulation!
This is the Real Deal ITB! I compared it to my BAE1084 and it's 50/50. Sometimes I prefer the hardware, but in many occasions I prefer the UAD Unison version. That says it all. Okay, it really USES processor space, but I can get more instances in a session; maybe time for an Octo Core Apollo version ;-) so I can get eight Unison 1073 channel to record at once!

Demo'd it... and bought it immediately
Helped to get it on black friday, but I was needing something super clean for some acoustic tracks, and this was definitely the way to go. Sounds so great, warm, smooth on the top end, and even the drive when run hot sounds like the real hardware! Don't know why I'm shocked... UAD always makes great models of great gear.

I don't miss my outboard preamps at all!
I needed to downsize my studio and plugins like the 1073 make it possible. I can honestly say I don't miss my outboard gear at all!

Warmth only Neve can deliver
Love this plug in. I have mostly used it for vocals and acoustic guitar. Brings warmth, saturation and life to the tone.

Great quality
For those complaining about the price, once you buy any plugin from UA it seems that they drop the price for YOU because you already own one copy and are a loyal customer. If you don't log in to your account you will see higher prices for non-customers. That said, they do have a sale on right now for everyone so yeah, you might have paid a little more just like me, no big deal!
The Neve 1073 is a one of a kind mic pre! It is a resource hog but if you want as true of an emulation as possible then it takes a lot of modeling to get it. My Apollo should be shipped in January and I can't wait to use it with the Unison technology! Great as always!

Neve 88RS is remarkable! One of the best "plugs" UAD from my collection. This is accurate, it sounds super good! Very happy with my purchase.

Fantastic preamp!!
I bought the Neve 1073 plugin recently and I have used it for tracking vocals and guitars. The sound is simply fantastic! It provides just the combination of silkness and presence, which Neve 1073 is known for. It is also very easy to use. Great stuff!

Very clean preamp, musical EQ
Just bought two of the BAE units of this same model, and the plugin is a close contender. Couldn't expect anything better and more accurate sounding than this plugin, other than just using the hardware!

Love how it works as a preamp for my guitar. Haven't tried it for much yet, but I slap it onto a drum bus, mmm... Just gives something to the sound immediately. Sound toys 5 and this for black friday! Now I'm having a blast, wanting the api next, so really hoping UAD could shell out some more coupons :P Love you guys for this one, pro sound! God i love UAD! Want their hardware as well now lol

I never had the pleasure of working on a real machine Snow RS88.But since I bought the emulation of UA I became enamored of her section and Eq gain.
I can not help but use this plugin in all my work.
The dynamic section acts in a really very light if set in the best way and also used as a de-esser be works in an extraordinary way.
I highly recommend buying this software.
