Favorite Preamp!
This Neve 1073 is a BEAST of a preamp. Absolutely loving this, from giving lead vox a lot of warmth and color and punch, to cranking the gain for that iconic distortion, ala the lead guitar in the Beatle's Revolution. Finally found *that* sound for my rig.

Suena de lujo
Esta emulación del 1073 realmente entrega una calidez y brillantes a las grabaciones. Voces, baterías y guitarras acústicas se benefician mucho.

Disabling LoadLock was the key...
I tried out the 1073 previously, but found that it was draining my DSP so fast that I could never be using as an EQ-plugin as I wanted. Figured it was not worth it. Then I learned about disabling LoadLock which does not use DSP from any sections of the plugin that you don't use and that made me go for this plugin and I've not regretted it. I really love both the EQ and the preamp of this plugin. A slight midtone boost gives the wonderfull vintage sound on vocals, snare drums and many other instruments I was looking for.

The Neve 1073 is GREAT!
I have used the real Neve 1073 preamps & eq's a lot over over the years and this plugin reminds me of the sound and feel of the hardware unit. I have not A/B'd the UAD 1073 vs. an original (nor will I) as I don't think it matters. This is a great tool in its own right.

must have
i have to admit i was very skeptical of the claims and or if there was a significant improvement using this plugin on vocals and after I demoed it there was no doubt the effectiveness of printing direct to tape(disc) it makes. I do not know what it does or how but the recording is just fantastic. thanks UAD !!!

Easily the best preamp emulation for possibly the best preamp known to man kind. This is my go to! I cant say enough good things about it. The warmth and usability makes it a must!!

Realism and warmth
Just scratching the surface with this thing but I can tell you that almost immediately, I added some realism and warmth to some amp simulated guitar tracks and it gave them that extra little something that was missing. Made them sound even closer to the real thing. Highly recommended!

About as good as it gets.
Regrettably I only bought this after the 88RS and API Vision, due to the extra filters/gate/compressor etc compared to the 1073, and because of how many 1073 emulations I already own.
It took me until now to appreciate how great it is to drive the line amp section in conjunction with the EQ and channel fader. This EQ is all about how you combine the various features, and no other plugin comes close. The tone is incredible, as a unison pre it's fantastic. Just a great shame how much DSP it consumes.
