Good control of dynamics and multitude of "flavors"
I have many tapes, I had never tried Ampex until it arrived natively, I must admit that I really liked it for the master, I have it configured quite flat, I don't like that it modifies the EQ curve of the signal much, entering 0vu manages to apply a very natural glue effect on the dynamics and achieve 2-3 db's of headroom without deteriorating the signal.

Iz good
Haven’t used on ALOT of material yet, but added to about a dozen tracks in progress on the mix/master bus and consistently sounding & feeling pretty damn nice. Wasn’t really in the market for yet ANOTHER tape plugin, but the sale was too good to pass up and glad to have added it to the arsenal. Good stuff!

Best tape plugin!
I've got several excellent tape plugins but this is the very best!

Disappointing missing features
When this plugin came out Natively I was super excited to get my hands on it. Upon doing so, I quickly realised that it doesn't have the full features of the non -native version and for this I think this is a rip-off. Does it sound bad....No! Does it do what I expected it to do...not entirely!

The Best IMO
In my opinion, this is the best tape machine out there. I absolutely love the sound of it, and if you use this in conjunction with the free Mid-side plug-in from Voxengo, It really shines!!!

Disappointed to find this does not immediately work as a Luna console
I bought this thinking it would work as a LUNA 'console' since the device being emulated looks the same as the limited-time demo of the 'LUNA extension'., and the name is almost the same, amongst the list of software you are invited to browse when clicking on 'Explore' within LUNA. Very disappointed to find that you cannot load it from the console menu - it's a channel strip, after all.

Simply Amazing
The best tape emulator ever made.

Just love it
¡The sound, the magic, the everything that add to the sound!
I never have the chance to use the actual Pultec, but this is awesome to put everywhere.
Just drop it and is sounding on its own, dial it and make evrything sound even better

Really Amazing!
The UAD Ampex ATR-102 Mastering plug-in is really amazing! The ease of operation is reasonable and instantly provides a high quality sound! It works perfectly in both: Logic Pro X 11 and Cubase Pro 13!

I expected more
I miss the tape echo in the native version. Let’s hope this feature will appear as an update soon. Haven’t tried it with Luna, which is not my favourite DAW. So I’ll keep using Abbey Road’s tape recorder from Waves for this purpose.

Ampex® ATR-102 Mastering Tape Recorder
I don't know what it does, but if you put it on the master bus, the tracks sound amazing!!!

Sounds great
Nice strip, pleasing analog emulation. Maybe not as subtle as acustica pink for example but it is also way lighter in terms of resources.

Drive it !
Really like it, very versatile, it's pretty much a channel strip at this point

Great tape sim … a bit like a cut price Satin … can go from crunchy to subtle and boomy to fizzy … wish it still had the echo option but you can’t have it all
