pultec passive eq collection
A great sound! He gives a lot of color and life to my acoustic works.
I have used the EQP-1A on vocal tracks and in all my acoustic and classical guitars
I 'm truly satisfied!

Amazing
I am in awe of this plug in. It kind of makes you wonder what can possibly be next. I mean, who would have thought five or ten years ago that someone would actually solve all the technical problems involved with creating something like this. Now that it's here, it's almost like, "I'm done. I don't need much else" (except some better microphones, lol). The extra metering is very useful, and the presets make setting up fast and easy. Gain control is so nice to have. It's another 5 stars for UA.

Nice!
The presets make it easy. Just pick one by the title that seems appropriate, fiddle with it a little, and enjoy the results. You can really hear the difference when you turn the knobs and try different settings. Very cool!

i want to use more
I really like the sound of this channel strip .. but it needs so much DSP power that i can not use it on as many tracks as i'd like to... i really hope there comes an update sometime soon ..
for example .. i run 10 APIs and my quad is up to 83% ..
pleeeeze !! do sth.. :D

They keep getting better...
So glad that I took the plunge on this. An EQ may not be as sexy when budgeting, but this one is a necessity. The amp stage is modeled extremely well. You hear the tone imparted at different gain levels. Overall, one of the most musical sounding plugins I've ever used. A top 5 for sure.

Total vibe channel!
What I love about this and other UAD plugins compared to plugins by other manufacturers (Waves, etc) is that even when pushed - they don't fall apart like other plugins do. I love UAD's channel strips - I have plenty by other manufacturers but UADs are the ones that feel most "solid" to me. All I need now is for UAD to release a Thunderbolt Octo Satellite and I'll be in heaven as this is a CPU beast - even on my Apollo Twin Duo, I can only get 8 fully loaded mono instances. Bypass unused sections to save on CPU and turn off LOADLOCK! Then you can get some extra API love in your DAW! I love being able to access the whole API "sonic" in one plugin and this is the only way to do it!

its my go to on vocals, drums and groups .

Was sceptical, am convinced.
I tend to be critical with things that get lots of universal praise: Often times it's just the hype being passed on. Some folks voice their opinion quickly after a first glance and believe the general talk will be true and this is indeed the grand thing they've been waiting for. I tested the LA-2A thoroughly and I got to say that this is a fantastic sounding plugin. I kind of went the other way round: I played with this plugin first, liked it a lot and and then tried a hardware LA-2A at a studio I'm working in. I couldn't say they sound exactly the same (even the hardware differs slightly from unit to unit), but they sound so great that it doesn't matter how equal they are to something. I love these for the drumbus! FAT FAT FAT.

My favorite UAD plug-in
The more I use it the more I love it. A beautiful sounding EQ and pre-amp.
Definitely worth trying out the demo.

I swear this thing is passing audio!
Finally I don't have to make excuses for working in the box! I just got an apollo and I am blow away by all of the UA plugins I've purchased but this one in particular is just jaw dropping good. IT SOUNDS LIKE HARDWARE! Exactly like it. I was adjusting the threshold on the compressor and the way the auto makeup gain kicked in sounded so real. Not even a hint of that "digital gain stepping" I've heard while adjusting parameters in other plugins.
I would swear this thing is actually passing audio and not just crunching numbers in a box.
Kudos to the team! Thanks to them I can finally breath easy and know I have the tools I need.

Presenza e colore

Amazing sound
These plugins have made the sound of my mixes warmer and much more enjoyable, it's a subtle effect that takes the digital out of any cold electronic production and breathes life into it, i am very happy about these plugins

indispensable
i put it in all drum and synth tracks before all processing - but it works very well also with the bass tracks - great analog deep sound!!!!

Musical Lube
I'd heard an awful lot about this plug in, and had experience using a competitors vintage tape emulation, but holy c$@p, this one sounds just like the real thing, i use this more a s a natural compression...
However it does seem to make strings (samples i.e. Kirk Hunter, vsl etc) sound a bit artificial, takes away too many transients.
Worth purchasing if you want to add warmth to tracks, as individual inserts on each track, or over busses to glue everything together

Excellent Work UA
This is the benchmark for console emulation, i have been lucky enough to record on API consoles and this is as close as it gets, especially having the mic-pre.... i'm looking forward to see more mic pre emulations in the future.

Great Plug
Let me begin this review by saying I don't like 90% of the plug-ins I try. This one, however, is one of my favorites. The preamp emulation does something very nice, that adds presence and a little high-end information. The filters seem to do their job nicely. Haven't messed too much with the gate, but I love the EQ in the mid/high frequencies. My only slight disappointment is with the compressor; it doesn't sound bad, just is a little difficult for me to dial in. The plug also takes up a lot of DSP on my Apollo Quad. All in all I am very impressed though. UA has made a very powerful plug that I definitely recommend trying out.

API Vision Channel Strip Plugin - Superb!
This is a beautiful sounding plugin, one of the very best sounding I've ever tried.
I've had (and liked for different reasons), both the Waves and URS API emulations. They all have a certain "API sound," but I think this one sounds a little closer to the actual hardware, and is more transparent.

A 10!
Knocked out of the park UA - the plug is mojo of all mojo. This raised the bar of my mixes thanks.

la2a collection
incredable. i was under the impression the slight diff you hear
about with these units was for egg heads an gear heads.
but saw a great video with that fabio dude an gave em a try.
the bulk of my music is sample based and once i started hearing
how the three can be used to colour or bring to life various
parts.
the silver is the cleanest loudest beast.
grey less impact but increases music while almost smoothing
la2a orig 50s again reduces the material conpaired with silver
ive set up mixs purely with these and they sound better than
anything id done previous.
once you split your mix out using the silver for the upfront
sounds. do same with mid sounds with grey then the 50s for
further back your ready for some fun adding the effx.......
