My workhorse.

I have over a dozen software compressors from most of the major companies, but this is my go to. From subtle to pumpy and everything in-between. It adds just the right amount of vibe for my taste. Used in conjunction with the API channel strip it always brings a smile to my face.

Good mastering plugin

It has a special taste as you use it on your mastering chain. It has a color, it can be subtle or you can push it. I need to have more time with this plugin, but it will be essential for my work, that’s 100%!

Le fil

Superbe émulation qui fait retrouver l'impression du fil qui relie chaque note, chaque son. Pour moi de la haute couture.

Après des années de Pro Tools, puis des années de Reaper, ça faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas été emballé pour une STAN. La version pro avec les appareils à bobines, la sommmation et les tranches de consoles, c'est un son vivant en quelques clics de souris.
L'editeur midi à encore quelques lacunes, mais je suis persuadé que UA va l'étoffer.

I’m blown away with how simple and intuitive Luna is. I’ve spent 16 years as a PT user and I can honestly say that this is a breath of fresh air. The hot keys are very similar to PT which made the transition very easy. My editing time has literally been cut in half, group editing/routing is super simple, file management is not even a thing, and all of my plugins work without any hiccups! I know that there is no magic plug-in but the tape and summing extensions really get me that extra 3% in my mixes I’ve been looking for! The API vision channel strip and 2500 are incredibly weighty and punchy and add a sort of 3D depth in comparison to the competitors (Lindell 50 being a close 2nd IMO). I’m not a huge fan of the UI design as a plug-in but I can definitely overlook that due to how fantastic it sounds. Century tube channel strip is new to me but I’m liking the results I’m getting on vocals with it. Plate verb sounds great, tape delay is fantastic on guitars/synths, LA2A bundle sounds great but I prefer the waves version if I’m looking to drive it hard.
A few things I’d like to see updated would be the possibility to have more than one sidechain per channel and more flexibility with resizing the mix view as I don’t have a very large screen. I don’t see this being an issue for 24” + screens.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier as a mixer with Luna as my new DAW of choice!
But don’t take my word for it. Give it a whirl yourself. Your life just might get easier if you’re coming from PT like myself.
