At $99 this is the bargain of the millenium. The API emulations, the tape emulations and the outboard is about all the software you need to create very musical and punchy pro level old school recordings and mixes. And you need an Apollo hardware unit and a Mac (16GB Ram and up). Real Pro level, you say? Add 2 or more Apollo 8P. The built-in preamps are great, and with the Unison pres like this API 212, it is beyond great.
The emulations run on the internal ressources, where as the plug-ins like the outboard run on the external DSP of the Apollo. You can add that, so the cheapest Apollo twin Duo is more than enough as long as you have the Ram.
I have recorded on real Neve, Trident, SSL, Fairchild and Studer A80 + A800 and just to clarify that - This will not sound exactly like a console with great tape machine, but since they never sounded the same, this will give you nearly all the sound and fidelity without the limitations of the physical number of channels, tracks and outboard.
If you have the Mac and the UA hardware, you need LUNA with this bundle now. At 699 it was a great deal, at 99 it is a steal.

Ever since the last update, LUNA constantly crashes.
