It's actually superb
This is actually a fantastic emulation of the 224. It does the same 'thing' that the hardware version does, so if you're looking for that specific 224 flavour, you'll get it from this. Being digital, I find the plugin has maybe more top end than the hardware but a little high frequency roll off tames the high end and makes this plugin sound more like the hardware. Brilliant, brilliant bit of kit.

Love It!
I was just in the studio with the hardware version of the 224. I A/B-ed it with the plug-in. In a fairly sparse mix, nobody in the room could tell the difference. UAD rocks again.

Alex.
Having purchased a Lexicon unit years ago for live sound I realised the quality of sound the company offered.
The Lexicon 224 plug-in is everything I have dreamed of in a reverb unit.Ease of use and great presets.
A well earned 5 stars.

Great reverb - easy to use!
This reverb is so musical and easy to use. It's easy to dial in a sound real quick and also deep dive if more time is available. No matter what I've thrown it - a tight room sound or a lush hall, it's performed with such ease and is a true pleasure to use.

My dream Reverb has become reality!
A loyal Lexicon user for many years. I never thought I could afford or own a reverb of this quality! Now I do!!! I swear it sounds good on pretty much anything! UA has done it again! Very happy customer!!

Lexicon 224 Review
I have had a good 3-4 years doing some score work at a studio that has a hardware Lexicon 224. When I first started using it, I found it to be harsh and unnatural. then I realized that its more of a Aux effect than a insert.
UAD did a excellent job on this plug in. I actually called up some of my old drum mixes, which I had done with the hardware and compared it to some of the sounds I'm getting now. Spot on! Like most UAD plug ins, even if the hardware was sitting on top of my mixing desk, I'd would likely just go with the plug in.
Highly recommend this to any that have experience with this unit. Again this isn't your "workhorse" reverb that you can use on everything but it does what it does very well!
Cheers UAD!

Lexicon 224
It's been since the early eighties that I've had the pleasure of working with a 224.
Getting the plug-in was like seeing an old friend that you've not seen in a very long time!
Awesome Reverb!

Great Reverb BUT expensive
This is one of the more expensive verbs I own and I got it on sale. Great for room emulation. Very smooth and great tail. I gave it 4 stars because it is hard to work with to get sounds. Maybe as I work with it more I will develop more presets but I like the EMT250 better.

Nice reverb
I don't have this hardware before, but compare to my other reverb plugins. This is the best reverb I got . it's kinda pricy, but I don't regret to but iy.

Superb
A forum member recommended this plugin and I've only had it set to the first preset and was stunned at how well this bad boy sounds and blends. Undoubtedly, as I dig deeper, I will be even more impressed.

Lexicon and Twin Duo...anfd thunderbolt
Hola.
For any personal reason I am still waiting to have a mac Book Pro with thunderbolt port, so I can use the new "Twin Duo" and all your excelents products, so even if I know they are excelent, I still could not use and give you any personal details about it.
Just a little" patiencia" for my side, and continue with the creativity... Thanks anyway for your espetial dedication.

Just Awesome!!!!!
By far the best reverb ever made as a hardware and even as a software plugin, which is an exact copy of the original in any way..! Unparalleled warmth and clarity. Amazing work from the UAS guys!!!! A surely must have reverb in your arsenal, mates!!!!

Wanted this plugin for a while now and luckily had it bought as a Christmas present for myself! Absolouley love it... I wanted a nice warm reverb that could give my house tracks something new and it delivered!!

A blast from the past
Sounds just like I remember it from the good ol' days.

There is a God
This reverb is a game changer. I own the emt140 and 250 which are killer verbs but the lexicon's reverb trail is heavenly. The kk atmosphere preset proves that there is a god. You can control the decay time of the reverb tail's treble, midrange and bass frequencies independently which is awesome!

224 Digital reverb
In my oppinion one of the finest tools one can get. The sound reminds me of a classical rack-type stand - alone studio unit at least for twenty times the money.

Lushness
Lush & so warm. This reverb fully lives up to its hardware counterpart. Great work UA!

Finally, at my fingertips, the sound I've been hearing for ages..
Ever since I first saw the 224 hardware controller sitting on a console back in the 80's - and started hearing recordings featuring this incredibly lush sound, I've been searching for a way to duplicate it.
I've owned several cheaper Lex hardware units and tried various reverb plugins but NONE came close to this magic. But from the minute I launched this plugin and tried out the controls, I realized two things: First, THIS IS THE SOUND I've been coveting for years. And second, it's REALLY EASY to use.
I couldn't be happier and can't wait to use this in my mixes.

Highly tunable
I already have lots of reverbs but I thought I'd give the Lexicon a go and am so glad I did. No wonder this was so popular - the great thing about it is that the sliders give you so much control over the reverb content so you can 'tune' in the reverb to suit the mix.
Quite often with other reverbs you will get a beautiful sounding reverb but it may have too much bass or mid content and muddy the mix - with the Lexicon, you can tune this to satisfy. The button controls take a bit of getting used to but the responsiveness of the sliders make up for that.
I now use the Lex along with the EMT 140 as my every day go-to reverbs. All my convolution reverbs get reserved for the odd special effect here and there.
Love it.
