Nice!
The Galaxy tape echo has that old time magic dust and gives you plenty of great sounding tracks.

Old Style!
Once you've understood it, it's very useful.

BEST OF THE BEST
Sounds as good as the original thing, but what else would I expect from UA!

It's good not great
I LOVE a good delay and the more words it gets the more I love it. I'm all fairness, in part I am reviewing the unit itself as well as UAD profile of the unit.
As far as the unit itself (software), it's limiting. There aren't as many tonal options as I had hoped for. THIS HAS NOT ANYTHING TO DO WITH UAD , But I felt important to share that point. I have used a Binson in the past, so I know what it is supposed to sound like and given that I will say that UAD did a great job with emulating it.
I do wish UAD would add functionalities that are not available on the original units. This goes for any plugin. They are great for one-to-one recreations. Maybe the best at doing that! It would be nice to have more options such as longer delays morphing etc.
This is just me, I don't speak for everyone I realize that.
I personally felt it important to point out.
With that said another great creation by UAD!

a cool step back to my past
I used to own one of these years ago. this reminds me so much of the sound and total character. its not perfect but its damn close

Classic tape delay
I'm not sure I agree with keeping ALL the limitations of the original interface, but it will be hard to make a sound with this that isn't plausibly analog-like. UA's experience in tape simulations comes through here over some of the competing versions.

Such a vibe
Such a killer delay/reverb for adding depth AND sonic character. It's really fun to play with, and when driven, sounds remarkably close to a proper tape delay, without the maintenance. Only giving 4 stars as you can't manually adjust the delay time beyond fixed parameters, such as 1/4 or 1/8, or variations of around 100 milliseconds on fixed times from the original unit. I think sometimes UAD shoot themselves in the foot by not adding extra features which everyone would have gladly had on the original hardware and are easy as pie to add to the plugin. But for fixed times and even as a stand alone reverb, this is a fantastic plugin, hands down.

Great Plug-In
I was sceptical ... but I'm a fan of this Plug-In. It sounds as natural as a digital approach of a classic analogue Tape Echo can sound. I'm not a huge fan of the Tape old and new settings though ... In my opinion that's where the limit of digital is for «used tape» – but maybe time and some other projects will prove me wrong ...

Great Emulation
Don't wanna deal with the real thing breaking all the time? Have you ever been in the middle of a session and *boom* your space echo craps out and needs to be sent in for repair? Welp, this solves all those problems. It's not a real tape echo but it's damn close.
Saturation can be a little harsh at times. Similar to the stomp box version of this tape machine. But otherwise I find it to be pretty great.

Old but Gold in the future
Nicely done. Great rework of the classical Roland. I am missing the stereo effect in times of DAWs and digital gearporn
But this is moaning on a high level ;)

Love the GTE!
Really great delay / reverb with some really gritty spaces and sounds perfect for dub, reggae and probably any type of music where you want to get lost a little!

Classic RE-201 sound, with a bit of room for improvement
The Galaxy Tape Echo does a great job of providing the character of the multi-tap delay and spring reverb of a real unit with the flexibility of a plug-in. While the ability to self-oscillation is welcome, this is where the character of the plug-in departs significantly from the hardware unit I have to compare.
Whereas the hardware oscillates with a smooth and compressed tone, the plug-in adds significant grit and distortion. Nevertheless, the plug-in is a valuable tool for achieving the general Space Echo sounds without the need to worry about hardware maintenance.

Cool distortion!
Cool but it is mono) However its sounds incredible!

Sounds Amazing!!!!
Just sounds great. All the analog warmth and tone. Just sounds luscious. Use only the reverb on guitars with any of the UA Marshall plug-ins to get a great spring reverb sound.

Galaxy Tape Echo
This unit is lush, warm and musical. Love the tempo sync options.

Works great buuuuuuut.....
It would be cool if it was capable of stereo delays. I get that it’s modeling hardware, but seems like the sort of plug where an “advanced” menu enabling true stereo delay effects would be a game changer. I get that limitations can define greatness but also....

Nothing beats the sound of an actual tape echo but you can get some pretty neat sounds out of this plugin

So fun
This the best sounding RE-201 style delay I've had the pleasure of playing with. But where's MIDI CC control??? My one frustration is not being able to control the settings with my MIDI controllers.
