Lives up to the hype
Clean, clear and crisp are adjectives I'd use to describe this reverb. It also seems to warm up the sound a bit... maybe that is the analog simulation going on - I wouldn't know since I've never used the real hardware.
Bottom line - a lot of people rave about the EMT 140 and now I can see why. Well worth the purchase.

An "all-must-have" reverb and more!!!!!
Never thought that touching this one, would change my sound so drastically..! Surely the best reverb of all times in our hands thanks to UAD..! Clarity and smoothness came into my mixes and changes my music life for once and for all...! THANK YOU UAD for making our music to sound the way it should..!

Different Vibe
I can see why this verb was the 'bomb' back in the day. It is quite flexible and sounds great. It's definitely not a 'this is the only verb you'll ever need' but it's very usable.

Classic
Been working on soul music and this verb gives you THE vibe. Trying to get the right sounding reverb for this application used to be a big hassle. Having the right tool for the job makes things quicker and much simpler! UA reverbs are great all around and can especially help when you're not able to record in a spacious room. Cheers!

Thank you UA!!!
I really loved the hardware piece when available in studio's. Now I can use use it in every session! This is the sound I remember and I love to use it on vocals or anything that needs to stand out and needs more weight. Even though the original was digital, it always had a natural character to me which would easily blend into the mix. UA's EMT250 has that same quality. There are other 250 emulations on the market, but I really prefer this one!

Awesome classic plate reverb!
Way to go UA! You nailed the EMT140 plate very well. I love that classic plate sound and I find that back in your plugin. And I can use different versions and multiple instances with different settings as well. This reverb I use in all of my sessions and every time it makes me smile again. It's always my main reverb next to the UA Lexicon 224 and the UA EMT-250
This plate RoCkS!

LOVE LOVE LOVE
Instant mojo, easy to dial in, my "go to" plate and usually my first "lets see what happens when I do this" when I'm needing a creative bump. LOVE IT, LOVE UAD

fabulous plates
I love this reverb. It's different to any other plugin that I've ever used for the effect. It sounds so realistic. I do a lot of acoustic guitar recording and it just sounds superb. Adds some real class to the sound that really doesn't sound like a plugin. Amazing.

Old Bloom
I activated the EMT140 and EMT250 demo and compared them. I bought the 140. They are totally different and i can see how people will like the 250 more, but for my kind of music (psychedelic-blues-rock) i have definately more use of this beauty. It sounds so damn right on everything. The voice gets enhanced by this very distinct reverb. I don't do pop. So maybe that is for the other plugin...

Excellent and fast results!
Since purchasing this has become my new favourite reverb. You can get great results fast. This sounds lush and smooth especially on vocals. Only negative thing is the quite short maximum pre delay time but it is not a fault of UAD, it is a limitation of the original model. Luckily this can be solved with pre delay before the reverb.
Highly recommended!

EMT 140 Plate Plugin
I just LOVE this plugin!!
The sound is beautiful and really suitable for anything! I use it in all my productions and is a reverb I advice to everyone to buy! Weather it's on a Voice, Guitars, Drums, Piano and even glitch synths it will make them sound beautifully!
One more time the UA guys managed to touch the perfection with this beauty!

Terrific Reverbs - Diverse Applications
Both of these plugins sound genuinely amazing. Previously, I have always stayed away from plate reverb in the box because every reverb plugin I've used sounds lousy when attempting to sound like a plate. However, when I first opened a stereo instance of the 140 on an aux being fed by a send on a female vocal track, I was amazed by the lush, thick, silky tones. The three different plate simulations allow use on a diverse array of sources.
The EMT 250 is excellent as well. The delay, echo, chorus, etc. settings sound great, but the reverb is best of all. It is spacious, rich, and the choice of rear or front outputs has become invaluable for the subtle but distinctly different tonal results. Drums, vox, cellos... bring it on and rejoice!

used on every mix...
Not much else to say, it's my go to reverb. On vocals, it sounds amazing.
We have an EMT plate at our studio and this is damn close. :)

Hyper cool reverb
I honestly can't tell if it's got the exact same sound as the original.
But I can tell that It works great on guitars, vocals and drums and many other things.

EMT 250 Reverb Plugin
I love the way the tracks get full and warm with this reverb...
... On vocals, short reverb time, makes your voice sound fat...
I love it.

awesome plate!
this thing is incredible. i compared it to a plate that i recorded at my favorite studio and, with minor tweaking, was able to make it sound insanely similar. amazing!

EMT140
WOW, goes on anything and easy to blend without giving it the full treatment
adds so much to vocals and guitars, I even put a touch on the kick drum with a short decay to give some volume on the edges, one of my best plug ins to add depth and texture

The perfect reverb for vocals
As expected, this emulation of the EMT240 is amazing.
3 different "tones" will give you more chance to find the perfect match to your mix.
I use it a lot on vocals, guitars and every string instrument.
Works good on Horns too.
The filter and EQ are welcome !! great job UA team.
Love this one !!

Great for vocals
I absolutely love this reverb it sounds great on almost anything but I like it especially for vocal reverb. It gives it a warm vintage touch.
