Great Dark Plate
I haven't used a real EMT before but I have used other real plates and this sounds really good. Tons of options for decay and EQ and comes with some good presets for starting points.

Classy!
I tried many different reverbs for some tracks I was mixing with just piano and vocals for Boleros, this one just worked for the vocals, very easy to use, the free trial for this plugin just saved my mix! I'll definitely buy it in the future.

Main Reverb
When the mix is always the main reverb. You can use any track. Since the very beautiful natural there even be heard so as not to have been the effect. How also do not feel the stress simple. In terms of frequency of use is a plug-in among the best three.

Wonderful Sound
Reverb has always been one of those valued effects in recordings. Over the years, I learned to use this effect sparingly. The EMT140 when dropped on source material or acoustic material and properly used in the Auxes is really incredible. I appreciate some of the 60s musical recordings and dial in this guy with a nice clean electric guitar. The reverb just gives your mix a nice pleasant vibe. I understand why some people don't think much of it because plate reverb is not a effect with a lot of knobs. But that's the beauty. Simplicity and lush tones added to your mix.

Don't Waste Any More Time!!!
Bought this after seeing Scheps use it on lead vox track. Never used the original, but, as soon as I slapped an instance on a vox track, I immediately recognized the legendary sound, and it made my vox track sound legendary. They were full, wide, and had a sheen to them that I have not achieved with many other reverb plug ins!

Great sound.
And distinctive sound.
Even with the long decay-time makes a pretty luxurious effect.

EMT 140….Yep!!! Sounds great!!!
The EMT 140 Reverb was exactly what I was looking for….. a warm, rich reverb that brings a deep analog richness to your digital canvas. I've got some nice verbs….but, this one you hear immediately bringing it up in a mix. A must for any arsenal.

Awesome, as expected
I actually bought my UAD-2 card just so I can use this and it's now part of my template project. Probably the best reverb out there.

DO NOT DEMO THIS...
if you don't want to end up buying it...
truly a great and iconic reverb unit, and I honestly wasn't sure whether I'd make use of it (even after reading all the reviews on here raving about it)...
but it is now a staple in my collection and sounds marvellous...
enough character of the original units with a little extra to play with, exactly as modern plugins should be...
top work... if I could take it out for dinner I would but it the lobster...

Must-have plate!
The EMT 140 is the must-have plate of your plug-in collection. Sounds great! That's everything to say..

Very smooth and lush reverb
Amazing technology for its time! It kind of only has "one" sound, but that sound (reverb) is simply stunning! I love it.

A Must Have for Professional Mixing Engineers
I have recently purchased the UAD-2 EMT 140 Plate Reverb plugin. All I can say is amazing. People will troll these reviews and continue to stress, "...it is not like the analog version!" Yet, in this day and age, plugins are 100 times more powerful than a decade ago. Plus, clients are quite demanding so recalling sessions is of the upmost importance. That being said this EMT reverb is nothing shy than perfect. I would recommend spending some time to really understand the nuances. Also, reading the manual would not hurt as well. Besides that this is an amazing tool. Great job UAD.

If you like plate reverb you will love this plugin.
Describing reverb is about as subjective as describing guitar tone. If you are completely obsessed with the sound of an EMT140 and you can't buy one, then UAD is probably worth your time for this plugin alone. The only alternative is iZotope Nectar's reverb which is also modeled on a EMT140 but sounds completely different - more present and metallic which I also LOVE the sound of. I actually think Nectar's reverb is better if you know you don't need a dark sounding plate, but when you want something really lush that still has that shimmery plate sound this plugin is unbeatable. I love having the 3 different options, but I mainly use B for most auxes. I wonder if they are ever going to update this one... it would be interesting to revisit.

It's killer on drum tracks, period!

Very versatile
I use this on almost everything. It has that classic dense plate-sound that never fails to impress.
