Does not include required cable - very disappointing
Needs a USB-C to work, which is not included, and not like the regular USB cables that most of us have lying around. Not at all expected for a 500 Euro interface, and it's not clearly flagged. Disappointed that I won't be able to hear this for at least another week while I get a cable delivered from Amazon.

Everything sounded more real than real!
First, UAD, include a cable, please! It's completely unjustifiable!! I paid over 700 Canadian rubles for this!!!
Other than that, everything sounds incredible out of this, especially with a 1176 -> LA2A -> EQ. Its just all the detail I want out of vocals and so incredibly sweet. I can hammer the living heck out of the preamp and it never clips in a destructive way, and just keeps sounding sweeter. It captures sound in a way that is more real than real. I don't think I'll need an upgrade for my simple acoustic music, ever.

Works Flawlessly on AMD Ryzen platform (Asus X470 mobo, AMD Ryzen 3700x)
Took a chance after seeing the system requirements specify "Intel i-series processors" only. Happy to report no issues whatsoever on my freshly built AMD system. Make sure to get a high quality USB-C cord and update BIOS. The Apollo Solo USB sounds awesome, you can tell its quality right away. The pre amps are incredible. The build quality is 10/10. If you are looking for a pro grade interface, but don't need a ton of ins/outs, this is perfect. I use it primarily with guitar, the UAD Engl Savage 120 plug in uses about half the processing power (from the DSP chart, the Engl is one of the highest DSP offenders) It leaves me with enough DSP to mess around with the included Analog Classics plug ins, one at a time with the Engl. The Engl sounds awesome on its own though. No discernible latency. It also works great with my native plug ins too, but that latency comes down to your PC. I was concerned about using the Solo with my native guitar sims, but it functions perfectly. Haven't even experimented with all the routing options into a DAW, it just works in Ableton provided you open up the console first and then monitor from there. A great foot in the door of Universal Audio, highly recommend. Makes all the cheaper entry level 2in/2out audio interfaces seem like toys. Nothing wrong with that, unless you have already had one of those and you are ready to "level up." Apollo Solo USB is your best bet, worth every penny.

I returned it
I returned mine as the sound didn't meet my expectations. I opted for an ID44 instead. I could get it to sound similar to the Audient with a few unison plugs but then I'm in a different price band and at that point the Audient has 4 mic pres, dual headphones, and dual monitor setups.

Love my New Solo
I replaced a Focusrite 18i20 interface with the solo after investing in a digital mixer to record my band. Now that all input signals go to the mixer and I obtain .wav files for each channel, I can upload them into Cubase and then use the Solo for single tracks and overdubs.
High quality piece of equipment, recorded and outputted sound is noticeably better than my previous rig and the wealth of available plug-ins will take a little time to digest.
My only concern is that the interface gets hot to the touch after being on for several hours, so I turn it off after each session. Highly recommended for those that have limited requirements for simultaneous inputs but want a world-class interface.

Inspirational piece of gear
Quality is visible at the first glance - Apollo Sollo commes in nice box, set up with Windows and Cubase work flawless. Great to use, plug-ins that are bundled with gear are great starting point and ready for use and you don't have to consider buying any additional plug-ins if you don't want, but that's really hard not to do .-). All in all, only regret is why I didn't purchased anything from UAD - earlier. Highly recommended!

Awesome... Solo ROCKS!!
Although I was a bit disappointed that the necessary USB 3 cable wasn't provided with the unit (This is an essential part, not an accessory). I found a cable at Office max and then everything was great... There is no detectable latency in the unit.... Soli is very intuitive and easy to use and sounds like a million bucks.
Well Done!

Pros and some silghtly disadvantages
Pro: If you informed, what the unit is and what you can do with this unit, it's great. It works, like it should do and it sounds perfect, as input unit with or without unisono and as output unit with speakers or headphone, including the a good working software.
Disadvantage: It was not clear, if it would work with a AMD System, it has no USB cable and no real description, which cable needed.
As a user of the UAD System, you get plugins, you have bought and own before and have no possibility for a selection choice of plugins in the same price range you can get.
And independent from this, I would suggest to look closer to AMD Systems. I lost may UAD duo card by changing to a AMD system, that's not nice, but I can live with this, but AMD Systems are really competitive in price and power to Intel, and a lot of Audio PC companies have AMD in there portifolio now.
But as summary, if it works with your Windows PC, the Apollo Solo USB is a very good and extremly good sounding audio interface with the UAudio DSP power.
I use a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite Board, for Information.

coming over from an audient id22 which are some pretty big shoes to follow
I picked the solo for its price point and the fact that I don't have a large need for running the UAD plugs. I will try them out though and if I need to, I can always print them one at a time if I run out of SHARC cpu.. Regardless, it is almost on par with the audient pres but resiliency will be the end factor. I gave up on them after a hardware failure. With regards to the SOLO, it would have been nice to have a few more pan knobs on the top. I can't imagine pots are that expensive. In response, to some of the poor reviews based solely on a usb cable, I take exception to that. All I did was borrow one of my many USBC to USBA phone charging cables to get it up and running, Wow, that was hard.

Great Interface...
The best audio equipment investment this year. Everything is great with this interface... preamps, outputs and the analog classic bundle plugins are the cherries on the cake. The only drawback is that no USB 3 cable was included. But I was able to find one immediately, you just have to make sure that it is a USB A or C to USB C and that it supports 5Gbit / s SuperSpeed.

Love it!!!
I have two systems and they are both run windows. I'm mostly dealing with 3D and animation but my background is in music production and being an audio engineer. I like to have the best quality playback for my monitors and to have access to the UAD plugin's on DSP for great mixes. Before It was complicated with how many bad TB3 PCIe cards that are out there that die after a month or come DOA so this new version that utilizes USB 3.0 is GREAT! My only critique is that I wish they had released it with the dark grey version as well, it'd go better with my setup ;)

Fantastic
Great product. However, I wish it would come with a cable. I had a lot of trouble finding a compatible one. Nonetheless, a flawless machine.

Great product but missing a key component
Brilliant sounding product, well built and great functionality. BUT... it's really really irritating that the right cable is not included. They're hard to get hold of, and the exact spec needed is not clear from the manual or packaging. Like many others, I would prefer to pay an additional amount to have the cable included, and have it work out of the box. It really spoiled the initial experience as the cable had to be specially ordered and took a few days to arrive. Fix that, and it's a 5 star review!!

Super Impressed
To say i was a little skeptical of this unit giving UA's history with windows compatibility issues is an understatement. I've gone through 3 interfaces at around the same price point in the last year trying to find the one that would meet all my needs. Which were being able to do some vocal production, D.I. work and Mix from home. Those other units would be good at some things and not so good at others. The solo met all my needs and then some. I ordered the solo through Sweetwater and they were amazing to deal with and even included the correct USB 3.1 cable. All software was super simple to download and install and to my surprise everything worked in Protools on the first try. The AD/DA convertors on this thing sound fantastic, super clear and detailed. I Couldn't be happier with my purchase.
