Quality
I looked at the Apollo during the planning stage of buying a new studio but decided to buy a cheaper interface and spend more on software.
I was getting good results from my Motu so decided on a Motu 8 Pre.
However, I was not happy with the new Motu so I decided to change it for the Apollo.
I have not changed my monitors so a direct comparison was possible.
The quality of the Apollo was far superior which was a real surprise. It was more clear and transparent - 'pristine' would be a word that describes it. It made the Motu sound dull and muddy - it made the monitors sound new!
It has made me realise how important a quality interface is for a computer based studio and as far as I'm concerned the Apollo is a gem! Most highly recommended.

Sheer Awesomness - Great Sound, Great Design
I switched the Apogee Duet 2 out for the Apollo as was extremely happy. I found the monitor ADC to be more natural sounding and less noisy compared to the Duet. The DACS are impressive as well. The unit is a great 'bang for the buck'. I have not had a single issue to date. The only thing that bugs me a little are the rotary dials- they're plastic and feel cheap, however, this is easily overlooked due to the Apollo's great sound, design, and sheer awesomeness!
Thanks UA!

My Apollo
My new Apollo Duo is a great piece of kit! Having the option of playing around with Neve and SSL kit digitally is a dream come true for me. The quality of the preamps are NICE! Ive still got a lot more exploring to do with it, so lets see what this Apollo will bring me. Thanks UAD!

Great gear
An interface with high quality build, in a small 1u space and with UAD processing !
I know people give out about the console software(headphone outs) but how much bang do people expect for €2,500 ? (Quad version)
I was so impressed I bought a UA 4-710D to compliment it !
Universal audio are great !
Had all but bought an RME UFX but as I had uad plugins before.....they really did swing it for me without even trying both interfaces .
Universal Audios Apollo + 4-710 + Neumann kh120 monitors = A professional home studio to be proud of !
Now for the projects to start !

Great sounding audio interface, but needs some improvements
I generally really like the Apollo as it has some very unique features such as allowing you to use and "print" UAD plugins while recording. I feel that the quality of the converters and preamps is great and the Studer A800 plugin has truly impressed me.
However, there is an issue with the Apollo software/firmware that I think need to be addressed as soon as possible: The console mixer has no digital routing capabilities in form of a matrix. This severely limits the possibilities, specifically trying to set up hardware inserts in Pro Tools with the Apollo. A software routing matrix is basically a standard in high quality audio interfaces and should definitely be added to the console.

An obvious choice for the home studio
I'm a full-time songwriter in Nashville with a degree in audio engineering, and I couldn't imagine a better piece of gear to use for demoing and producing songs. The Apollo and its UAD plugins (especially the Studer, Lexicon reverb and Harrison EQ) have allowed me to have my dream studio 15 years sooner than I had dreamed would be possible. My previous plan was to slowly piece together physical vintage units, but with the digital recreations sounding so great it was an obvious decision to go with the Apollo Quad.
Having the Apollo has reignited my enjoyment of recording, and as a result has spurred my creativity. Thank you, Universal Audio!

The Apollo Quad total game changer
The Pre-amps are super clean, DA is pristine and very warm sounding. My work flow has also benefited greatly due to the monitoring software which is easy to use and has the feel of a real mixer which makes tracking and mixing with Apollo so much fun. The signal path is very detailed and open and my mixes have translated more accurately since I have been using the Apollo. Five stars all the way, amazing..:-)

They're not lying on quality!
Having originally gone on the market for a Focusrite liquid saffire, and then being talked into an Apollo I can say it's a bargain considering the quality of signal and plugs.
My only gripe is that I received no $100 voucher and am still chasing this up, and the fact when I've downloaded the recent update 6.3.2 and installed it, it disabled all plugins. This all while in the middle of a mixing job - bad form!
Other than this as a piece of kit its unbelievable and my issues should not put you off purchasing one.

the god APOLLO
this is a brilliant piece of gear - super easy to understand - the console view is so logical - the fact youi can use plug ins on the way in and out makes this interface double useful - and then there is the qwuality of the sound - BRILLIANT !!!!!!
the mic pre's are quiet and transparent - again you can color them "neve" or " ssl" or any other color you want
using plugins on the way in and -----recall it - SUPER - totally recall it !!!
so it is easy to match that sound if yoiu change lyrics etc
it's time to stop reviewing it - and go and start using it :-)

If you dont have it, well you are missing out!!
Seriously AMAZING unit!
1. Audio quality top notch! i noticed the quality of audio as soon as i installed and listening back to music through iTunes, extremely impressed! Open and real!!
2. Powerful processing with the Quad! You can hear the difference in the quality of the plugins perfectly! I brought up the Waves SSL4000 channel strip and A/B'ed it with the UAD SSL Channel strip with exact same settings applied on both, and i was overwhelmed the difference - WOW... qualiity is what i heard from UAD!! You have officially left waves behind in the game on this one - GOOD JOB!!
3. Ease of use - it doesnt take too long to work out how to use the software [Control], though i would like to see more routing options with the unit.

Studio Revolution
The apollo is a product, that unless you spend 10 times more, you can't dream of having this kind of quality. It's an excellent sound card, and with UAD2 plug in processing it's just too good to be true. Couldn't be happier with it. (btw used costumer service, and they were extremely fast and nice)

So much to love!
I recently decided to make a $5,000 upgrade to my studio. My priorities were a new interface and a quality preamp. I had purchased the Satellite Quad over the summer and was already blown away by the UA plugins. My chief concern with the Apollo was that it only offered four mic channels. I blissfully overcame this hurdle by pairing it with a 4-710 mic pre, which connects via lightpipe and gives me 8 amazing mic channels. The other perk is that by pairing it with the Satellite, I have DSP for days. I've been tracking huge projects and haven't gotten above 33% yet.
My only other consideration was the Apogee Symphony, but access to the UA plugins and the integration of all three products made my decision easy. It's a revolutionary machine.

Apollo - Em Portugues - Brazil
Bruno Brito.

Loyalist to Universal Audio products.
My life has changed dramatically after receiving the Apollo. Not just because of the sound quality ( which is why I purchased it) but, because of the quality and pride that goes into there kraftmanship. Certain brands carried a signature that says you believe in higher standards Universal Audio and Apple top my list.
Thanks,
Micah Es check out my music!

Awesome is a understatement
Well i went from a Motu Ultralite to this. I loved my Ultralite it was a great device and I thought well this Apollo will probably be better but come on how much clearer can it sound. Well it was _--------------------------------------------------------------------------_ this much clearer. I mean it blows the MOTU away by a 100 miles. Not only does it sound so much better, the preamps are stunning, the UA plugins(I was a UA plugin Virgin) are by far best in business, not to mention it look super cool. I went with this unit because I bought my first piece of UA Gear last year (LA-610 MK2) and i loved everything about it and it made me love UA as a company. So far it is getting better and better.

Beyond project studio... finally!
Studio quality has never been this easy [or cheap]! Here's how: spend some time acoustically treating your space. Then buy the Apollo, demo the plugs, and purchase the ones that work for your sound. Hire an engineer to help you along the way. Finally, you can quit worrying about your recording quality and get busy putting music down. Because from preamps all the way to mastering, Apollo's got you covered. It's that awesome!
PS [Plug Shameless] Starting in January, I'll be releasing a new EP each month using exclusively the Apollo during the entire recording/mixing/mastering process. Check out mikeponcy.com starting in 2013 and hear the Apollo in all its glory!

Dear UAudio
The Apollo is an amazing device. It was easy to setup and it works great as a processor, a DAC, an AD and various good sounding inputs. The DAC sounds better than any DAC i have.
I am using it on a Macair. I can easily do a remote with it and mix wherever. It and Logic make a great system.
No faults that I can find.
cheers
