Apollo QUAD
Excelente interfaz. Preamplificadores muy transparentes y su conversión es de primera categoria. Su ultima version de controladores funciona perfecto con Windows 8, y los plugins de regalo (Studer800, Lexicon 224 y Neve RS88 me hicieron muy feliz.
Excellent interface, very transparent preamps and conversion is top notch. His latest drivers works perfect with Windows 8, and plugins gift (Studer800, Lexicon 224 and RS88 Neve made ??me very happy.

My dreams come true!
I just love it! You plug the "Apollo" in your environment, install the driver and it work! I never have had one system crash! My Mac is running and running and i just produce music without a headache! The sound is incredible! The handling is as easy as playing with toy blocks! The plugins are unbelievable! You buy a "Neve" or "SSL" plugin for peanuts and have the original sound of this legendary audio tools for less! You get every plugin for 14 days for free. So you can test and enjoy all the functions of every plugin to check out what you need! Hey folk, this is a dream wich coming true for me. It's true, this Interface is a revolution and i'm sure this item will change the world of music production! For me it's clear, i want a second one!

More than pleased
I switched from an Apogee Ensemble to an Apollo Quad. I already have a quad card on a Mac so I instantly gained Octo processing power. I was basically trying this out as I was really leaning to a Pro Tools Hdx system. The near zero latency completely sold me. I was amazed to take tracks that were already processed and be able to add more tracks and basically run them through whatever plugs with no problems.
The sound quality is a few steps ahead of the Ensemble in terms of the audio spectrum clarity. The console app takes a little getting used to but it's nothing difficult. I was better off just experimenting with it. You won't be disappointed with this as it's money well invested.

Killed my ProTools interface-now I'm spoiled!
Had to upgrade my system (running a upgraded Mac Mini) and saw this at NAMM.
I've had it for 7 months now and this is one solid performer. It NEVER has a problem (only driver error) and sounds pristine. I have it going into a Dangerous 2Buss and my mixes are ridiculously improved over anything previous.
Using a Mac Mini, I don't have the power of a tower, so resources are limited but with everything running on the Apollo (plugin wise) there is never any issues with the CPU.
Of course the plugins speak for themselves and they are my new addiction! My faves are the Shadow Hills, Lex 224 and EMT 250,1176 and Neve 2 buss compressor. just started messing with the Brainworx, and it's pretty impressive as well.
This can't be beat at any price!

Apollo Quad - The Apollo is awesome.
Superb implementation of newer technology. Awesome.
I had the good fortune to have worked some legendary rooms back in the golden age of 2" machines. But I had given up on being able to ever experience that kind of satisfaction within the realm of digital audio in my project studio. So, it's truly inspiring to be able to digitally record tracks that sounds that good and solid again.
Anyone can recreate an old faceplate, but UA deserves accolades and praise and money for digging as deep as they have to come up with such accurate sounding plugs and interfaces. Hard work and patience in the sampling, measuring and programming pays off. I haven't been this thrilled about technology since 1979.

Apollo Duo
Great product, very high quality right out of the box. Ran some mixes I did through an RME and a dbox straight through the apollo and the difference was very noticeable. Not to mention the plugins - this is my first experience with UAD plugins and ill never look back. Wish the apollo would've came with a few more plugins though, and they aren't exactly cheap.
All in all - great product, my only complaint is after spending over 2k for the unit it sucks to spend another 2k on plugins just to see what it can really do!

Does Not Have True Thunderbolt Capabilities
I had a problem with the first Apollo. The firmware update did not allow the software apps to open when connected to the thunderbolt card. UA did a very good job of sending me another Apollo and everything is working now. I am somewhat disappointed with the fact that the thunderbolt option is really only passing firewire 800 speeds, not the true bandwidth we all want. I think this a little miss leading and makes the 500.00 card almost unnecessary. UA says it does help with the plugins on the Apollo, but I really was hoping we would see much lower latency buffer sizes aka a Pro Tools HD system.
Overall the it is built well and everything works as it should. The converters are a step up from the Focusrite Saffire 56, 003, etc....

Apollo is Utter Shite
Apollo is garbage on windows - basically a useless BRICK - do not buy it - complete and utter waste of money
Also UAD support is beyond lame - you will wait 2 weeks for some cut-n-paste BS reply - they dont care - terrible company that makes garbage products

This thing is amazing!! The clarity of the mic pres, the real time uad processing, built in dsp, I don't know how any could complete with the Apollo. I had a digi 002 for many years and the Apollo is like night and day. I am so happy with the Apollo, best investment I ever made!!

This uadio interface is brandnew (1 week).
I'm still working and trying...
I hope that my homestudio can deliver 'professional'output.
As i listen to 'older recordings', i already hear a better sound than i was used to before.
The installation is easy and the interconnectivity goes semi-automatic!
I use' mac pro' and now ' cubase 7'.
I bought some plug-ins from UA,some really good (a bit expensive maybe).
I gavr 4 stars because i'm still working on it.
After some experience, i'll come back to you to tell you about my findings.

The Apollo replaces the most of my older Hardware (except my loved LA-610). It makes my studio compactly and - importantly - the sound is absolutely great.
If you don't make your mix sounding great with the Apollo you will make it never.

One piece to rule them all
Wanted to get rid of my semi professional outboard equipment. Guess what - all is replaced with single fine piece of gear. I absolutly love the low latency ability for monitoring. And the best thing is, that all the settings are saved with the individual DAW projects.

Love it, but would change 1 or 2 things....
I think this is an amazing interface and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I've owned a few Apogee's (Ensemble and Duet) and I don't think I would go back. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to put plug-ins on the outputs - at the very least, the main monitor output. I like to keep certain UAD plugs on my DAW output at all times (Ampex, Precision Limiter, etc) and it would be nice if I could offload that output chain to the Apollo console.
Otherwise, I am extremely pleased and would buy again without a second thought!

LOVE IT! The functionality of it is much like my MOTU 828mk2, which I loved. But with 2 extra mic pres and 1 extra HP. .......... The UAD Plug-ins are AMAZING!!!!!!
