Possibly the best sounding plugin compressor
I have around 40 compressor plugin and several hardware compressors. This is possibly the best sounding plugin compressor around.
I love this thing, detailed full sound and deep sounding. The 670 is just awesome sounding on just about everything.
If you are thinking about buying, just get it !

amazing!
I put this in the shopping cart a few times but never pulled the trigger, thinking there are a ton of other eqs I have purchased that could get done what I need to get done and not spend even more money on another plugin, but this just does something to my kick drum that no other eqs or other pultec plugins do. It sounds so warm and fat and so analog like. Its just amazing and worth every penny! One of my favorites from the uad plugin lineup!

A Plus and ❤️❤️
These 1176 plugs are a valuable tool in my workspace. The applications are endless. Really , it's hard to listen to anything WITHOUT this plug. I wish I could take it out of the screen and hug it! ❤️❤️

Great for Kick, Snare and Vocal
No-one can get wrong with this tool. two knobs and attack and release for test. All you need to do is use your ears to judge how good it is. I loved how it gives presence on percussive material without losing bottom end. When I mix I don't like to worry too much and spend my time. I insert this and I'm happy. I have no experience with the analog 1176 but I loved this one. Yes great for vocal together with the Fairchild.

Dreamy, Creamy and Easy.
The EQP-1A always gets the most Spotlight out of these three plugins, and although its definitely one of the most flattering EQ's I have used. I feel that the MEQ needs to get special mention in this review. Most of the mixing difficulty comes from the Midrange. Terms like Boxy, Nasal, Muddy, Thick and strident all relate to a part of the mid range of the audio spectrum. So when it comes to these three EQ's, the EQP 1A sits on my master buss most of the time, but the MEQ tends to be one of the first options to deal with problematic midrange issues. Specifically with guitars and backing vocals.
The learning curve of the EQP1A took me a little while for it to become second nature, but once there all three of these became indispensable tools.

The 1176 and the La2, are both "the dude" from big lebowski.
Everything you put them on, becomes cool

Magic
Just apply the LA-2A on a vocal or a guitar track, and it will make it sound great.

Pure gold
You dont really need to comment on this plugins, since they are pretty much the best software representation of analog units available. I've been working with hardware Teletronix La-2a plenty of times so I know how musical that stuff is. This is the closest i've yet to see. I especially love the La-2 unit, its attack time does wonders to my buses.

Universal Audio LA2A
Thank You for a very good plugin.
It would make sense that any future updates for 1176, LA2A, LA3A etc plugins are completely free for customers already owning them.
Keep up with the great work,
Thank You

great on inserts and mix bus
I had a client who loves the Beatles, and as soon as I slapped some Fairchild on the mix bus, things started sounding like the Beatles. I like to crank up the input gain to give it a little bit of sheen. I also used it in mid-side mode, where it controlled hard-panned doubled vocals.

Pultec Eq
Nothing like it. If U need a boost or cut in frequency. Any instrument. From vocals, guitars, punch in your bass, murder death kill lo end. This is your UA PLUG. Very accurate response. Beast mode EQ. U gotta purchase this plugin. I promise U will not regret it.

Fat & LOUD
One of the few plugins I've ever audibly said "Wow" to. These plugins sound larger than life (and definitely larger than the box.) Very musical and colors any track beautifully. I find myself throwing these guys on a track often for just the color itself. They are also very loud, making it easy to bring a source up to volume without having to compress it to death. All 3 plugins sound great but very different, I find myself using the Gray and the LA-2 the most, especially the LA-2 for keeping transients intact but dynamics tamed. The LA2A collection does use a decent amount of DSP, however if you have a UA satellite you'll likely be fine. Best on Bass, Vox, Keys, Busses... (everything)
