Lots of control to get your bass sounding just right

I tested several UAD Bass amp emulations and ended up with svt-3pro and Gallien Krueger, between these two I can get any bass sound I am looking for. svt has the EQ and tube drive and Gallen has ability to use two IR cabinets at the same time. I tested other bass amp sims and they all sound similar the IRs change the sound more than the amp. Also I am having hard time dialing in good slightly distorted bass tones but I am sure I get there with more experimentation.

    Great quality amp

The model sounds great, I record a 6-string bass guitar with it. The cabinet and microphone combinations are very versatile, and in bi-amp mode, with the signal doubled, it offers truly diverse possibilities.

New to me and very impressive

I have most of my Ampeg experience with the old SVT and the B-15, but I took advantage of a UA sale and added this plugin. I like it very much and find the much more granular EQ a real asset when recording a 6 string bass.
