    A must have for Pros

    The SSL 4000 Series is my go to plugin. I prefer a clean sound when tracking which the SSL 4000 provides. Precise control and compression are vital when sculpting the sound you’re trying to achieve, all being transparent and consistent. Universal Audio did a great job with emulating what an SSL should sound like.

    Great Sounding & Easy to Use

    Like most UAD analog emulation plugins, these are incredibly easy to dial in for great results—especially the G bus compressor. I can't compare them to the original hardware, but that was never a priority for me, and vintage analog gear tends to vary quite a bit anyway.

    I purchased this bundle primarily for the G bus compressor, which has since become my first choice on drum busses. The channel strip, which wasn’t my main focus, ends up getting quite a bit of use too. However, the channel strip is more complex and noticeably more DSP-hungry than most other plugins I use.

    Blown away

    The plugin is what I was looking for to fix my muddy mix. I use this in my mastering bus, vocals, individual instruments. I'm not sure if I need anything else in terms of dynamic control.

    Small upgrade price but well worth it

    I have been without my UA hardware for years and this is definitely one of the plugins I have missed. I am happy to have it again in native version. I’m not crazy about having to pay for the upgrade/crossgrade, but the price was reasonable enough to justify it.

For every UAD plug-in that supports native and Apollo/UAD-2 versions, you get a license for both upon purchase, or the option to get it through an upgrade.

Native plug-ins are supported on macOS and Windows systems. See our Native UAD System Requirements article for full system requirements. An iLok account is required for managing your native plug-in licenses. We support iLok USB keys for portability, but one is not required.
