    Just…Bigger!

    There’s a lot of fancy dynamics processors and vintage EQ’s out there, sometimes we get Dynamic EQ’s that are supposed to be the crossover point between the two processes, but every now and again something comes along with almost no controls, that’s designed for one job and one job only: making things Sound Better! The Neve Pre-Amp is one of those somethings. I love the rich silky mid/highs and the extreme yet precise low end.

    Great plugin but unavoidably time-consuming installation process

    Love the plugin, but why in god’s name do I have to re-download and re-install UA connect and UA dashboard and license support (and whatever else I had to update - it was such a lengthy process) EVERY single time I purchase a new UA plugin? I had to do these updates during a paid session, which was horrible. Please don’t turn into Waves, UA. Buying a plugin and using it should be super simple: pay and play. No downtime. UA has WAY too much downtime.

Yes, you’ll need an Apollo audio interface, UAD-2 Satellite, or UAD-2 PCIe card to run these plug-ins, using the onboard DSP. The plug-ins run on the hardware itself, without adding strain to your computer’s CPU. In an Apollo, onboard DSP processing allows you to run realtime UAD plug-ins with near-zero latency, and even record that processing directly to your DAW.

Yes, you can start a fully functional 14-day demo from any plug-in bundled with the UAD software. Simply click “Start Demo”, and start using it in your DAW.

UAD-2 licenses follow the hardware, it does not matter which computer they are connected to. You can have up to six UAD-2 devices registered to a system in your Universal Audio account, which share those licenses. See UAD-2 Plug-In Licensing Explained for full details. Authorization of UAD-2 hardware is managed by the UAD Meter & Control Panel Application.
