    These sound the most realistic guitar pedal plugins. I tried them against quite a few alternatives, but all the others sounded flat in comparison.

    Interesting subtleties

    I am struggling a bit with new hardware and software, but did manage to play a bit through each of these distortion plug-ins and get the sound to come out of my monitors. I had the "Raw" pedal before, so was interested in the different effects from the two others. The differences are very subtle and each can be finely tuned to whatever you want. It was in the sale, so I was happy to pay for the other two. I guess it gives me an option in the future. In a phrase, interesting and subtle.

The plug-ins run on the hardware itself, without adding strain to your computer’s CPU. In an Apollo, onboard DSP processing allows you to run realtime UAD plug-ins with near-zero latency, and even record that processing directly to your DAW.
