Eventide® H910 Harmonizer
-
Stretch “the fabric of time” with this pioneering 1970s multi-effects unit.
Introduced in the mid-’70s, the Eventide H910 Harmonizer was the first commercially available digital audio effects unit. Its unique analog/digital circuit generated iconic pitch change, delay, and modulation effects in previously impossible combinations — with a sound that’s prized to this day.
From sci-fi sound design to pop music landmarks from David Bowie and AC/DC, the Eventide H910 is an unmatched creative tool. Today, Eventide and Universal Audio proudly announce the Eventide H910 Harmonizer plug-in, an end-to-end circuit emulation of this legendary processor.Get iconic Eventide H910 pitch change, delay, and modulation effects in real time
Thicken drums, guitars, and vocals with subtle and organic detuning
Craft hazy delays, slapback echoes, ambient textures, or drone feedback
Pitch audio +/- one octave without time compression or expansion — controllable from a MIDI keyboard
Use the H910's pitch changing ability to create specific musical intervals and musical harmonies
Harness presets from Richard Chycki, Tom Lord-Alge, Tony Platt and more
Take A Listen
Used and Abused since 1976
A powerful tool for creative producers and engineers alike, the Eventide H910 hardware excelled at straight-ahead guitar or vocal thickening, regenerative arpeggios, and bizarre sound design effects. On classics like David Bowie’s Low, and Iggy Pop’s The Idiot, producer Tony Visconti used the H910 to pitch down drum sounds, famously saying it, “f*cked with the fabric of time.” World’s away, AC/DC engineer Tony Platt put the H910 to slyly fatten up Back in Black’s iconic snare sound, while Eddie Van Halen used two H910’s for max spread on his 80’s guitar tones.
The Glitch is Back
The H910 introduced the word “glitch” into the audio engineer’s vocabulary. The H910’s pitch change relied on extensive analog processing. While simple, this circuit allows you to explore unique, unpredictable effects, never before emulated in a plug-in.
An End-to-End H910 Circuit Emulation
In developing this landmark processor for the UAD and Apollo platforms, Eventide modeled the H910’s entire analog/digital circuit, including its custom-built A/D converter. This allows the UAD H910 Harmonizer plug-in to retain the original hardware’s characteristic tone, as well as its dynamic responsiveness to input signals.
Keyboard and MIDI Mapping
The keyboard was an integral part of the H910’s original concept, and was later offered as an option. With the H910 plug-in, you can easily use MIDI to control pitch and harmonization in real time. But beware, one test drive of the H910 plug-in, and you’ll discover sounds that you can’t live without.
Bill Putnam, Jr. on the H910
Watch UA's Bill Putnam, Jr. talk about the groundbreaking Eventide H910 Harmonizer.
“The Eventide H910 Harmonizer plug-in is the perfect blend of vintage technology in a feature-rich, modern format. Eminently useful and every bit as unique as the original hardware.”
– Richard Chycki (Rush, Aerosmith, Dream Theater)“In 1975, the Eventide H910 Harmonizer firmly planted its foot in the future. And now in 2015, UA continues to move the past into the future with the Eventide H910 plug-in.”
– Ross Hogarth (Van Halen, Ziggy Marley, Motley Crue)“The Eventide H910 is a go-to effect for me. With the UAD version, I have to be careful to not overdo it now that I have something that's so good, quick, and reliable”
– Joey Waronker (Atoms for Peace, Beck, Other Lives)“The Eventide H910 Harmonizer is perfect for a double track effect on the lead vocal by slightly shifting the pitch and adding a short delay. ”
– Joe Chiccarelli (Jason Mraz, Beck, The Strokes, Morrissey)“The Eventide H910 Harmonizer plug-in is so much fun – I can get lost in it for hours.”

Not for me oops
Nothing against the plug itself. Just I have so many fx and fx units already that give me these sounds (plus so much more) that I can’t see myself using this. However I will still make sure I’m not misunderstanding how to really use it lol. I just hear typical chipmunk pitch shifting (which is fine I just like things that have more modern formanting options.

Great FX
Long time since I wanted the H910 !
Not disapointed !C. Doud
A Fine emulation of the original.
While you probably won’t use it every day—when you need it, you need it! A fun ‘boutique’ processor offering full sweep sound through rich and interesting adjustable presets. The interface is a little clunky, but hey, so were the original Evantide processors—so you can’t say they didn’t create a true-to-form emulation.
It’s like pineapple on pizza—people love it or can’t stand it—that was Evantide’s thing!R. Dickerson
sweet vintage
love some of the vintage presets such as Cygnus, gives me that album sound!

Excellent!!!
I seriously never thought I'd be buying this plugin but after demoing it on a few different sources I just had to buy it. It's THAT good!

Subtle Sophistication in my recordings
It is challenging to use this tastefully. I’m new to recording and like how the H910 plug-in takes my mediocre guitars to a higher level. Makes me want to be a better player and mixer!

Wonderful touch.
Side chaining this will add a wonderful touch to the vocals to thicken them up and sound smoother.

Cant scroll presets
Unlike all the other UAD plugins you can't scroll presets with this one. which is a real bummer as the presets are so dramatic from one to the other- they say it's the developers fault.. passing the buck. What ever happened to Quality control? It's also a DSP hog.

Wow just wow

Very specific, fairly weird, but amazing
Just started to scratch the surface of the H910. It uses a lot of DSP, but is a very powerful tool. Plan on printing it and then removing the plugin to free up DSP. Very surgical for thickening up tracks, or it can get downright metaphysical as well. One of the more interesting plugins to mess around with. Not the first one I’d buy, but if you’re looking for something different or need to thicken or play with the pitch, the H910 can do it
