Add Unmistakable Bucket-Brigade Flanging and Delay from a ’70s Icon

The MXR Flanger/Doubler plug-in gives you the glorious sound of this analog modulation processor that adds unique movement and depth to any source. From whooshing flange effects to subtle filter and delay textures, the MXR Flanger/Doubler plug-in is officially licensed by Dunlop Manufacturing. We've expertly emulated the original hardware’s colorful, almost lo-fi-sounding “bucket-brigade” circuit, giving you everything from subtle thickening to whacked-out sci-fi effects, all with a unique texture and tone that has never been truly captured — until now.

What They Say

The MXR stuff is great, it's so basic with just a few of knobs and buttons, but the sound that comes out is so satisfying. This plug-in just sounds amazing.

Carl Glanville

U2, Billy Joel, Counting Crows

The MXR Flanger/Doubler plug-in is fantastic — just like the original, but with no background noise.

Mick Glossop

Frank Zappa, Van Morrison, UFO

The UAD MXR brought me right back to the 'analog delay' era — and now that you can use it in stereo is beyond fantastic!

Chuck Zwicky

Prince, Soul Asylum, Reggie Watts

    Go-to for adding width

This has become the first plugin that I reach for for adding width and color to any signal. I usually use it in a subtle capacity and it does the job in ways that none of my other width-enhancing plugins do. For me, it usually just sounds right.

Fantastic for That Classic MXR Flange!

This plug-in is fantastic for that 1980-1984 Gary Numan era where he used it on snare, hats, synths and even his voice for both flanger and doubler effects! Exactly what I needed in my library with that unique MXR sound.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, you’ll need an Apollo audio interface, UAD-2 Satellite, or UAD-2 PCIe card to run these plug-ins, using the onboard DSP. The plug-ins run on the hardware itself, without adding strain to your computer’s CPU. In an Apollo, onboard DSP processing allows you to run realtime UAD plug-ins with near-zero latency, and even record that processing directly to your DAW.

This refers to the number of SHARC DSP processors in Apollo and UAD-2 hardware. A DUO core system has twice the amount of processing power compared to a SOLO core system. More SHARC DSP cores increases the number of UAD-2 plug-ins you can run on the hardware.

No, Satellites provide DSP to run UAD-2 plug-ins in your DAW.

Yes, you can start a fully functional 14-day demo from any plug-in bundled with the UAD software. Simply click “Start Demo”, and start using it in your DAW.

UAD-2 licenses follow the hardware, it does not matter which computer they are connected to. You can have up to six UAD-2 devices registered to a system in your Universal Audio account, which share those licenses. See UAD-2 Plug-In Licensing Explained for full details. Authorisation of UAD-2 hardware is managed by the UAD Meter & Control Panel Application.
